Demo has some rough spots to it but feels about on par with demon tides. Demon tides was decent. but Fabraz needed a real QA team or something to clean up some obvious visual glitches. The UV error in the swimsuit skin was so ugly I thought it was deliberate until they patched it. There are a few things in the demo that kinda worry me. One is bubsy's shading, its baked into the model which is normally fine but bubsy runs on all 4s and spends a lot of time horizontal and looks odd. I'm kinda hoping the atari backing gives Fabraz enough cash and QA support to polish this stuff. but we will see. If your looking for a very polished indie platformer Check out Big Hops. Its a bit short, but very smooth. also not compromised by trying to be a retro game.

This whole franchise revival is based on trading in on Bubsy 3D's notoriety as one of the worst games of all time. There's nothing unique or memorable about this character or IP otherwise. Most modern rehashes trade on the reputation of things that were good, Bubsy doesn't even have that because Bubsy was never good and is only notable for at one point being truly awful.When you weight what they're doing here against that backdrop this is actually kind of fitting. They were already scraping the bottom of the barrel
