Are they really going to reveal Diablo 5 as Blizzcon?
>>
>>738960291
There never was a D4 ""trilogy"".
They will make expansions as long as it's profitable.
>>
>>738960612
>Diablo IV: Mom of Hatred ft. H cup breasts
>Diablo IV: Girl of Hatred ft. The Jungle
>Diablo IV: Actual Hatred ft. Greece

There's the trilogy

No Leah, no play.
>>
they're going to bring baal back
>>
>>738961291
Baal is DEAD
>>

They're going to set the expansion up that way but when you finally arrive spoiler]LOOKING FOR BAAL?[/spoiler]

I actually had a dream of Diablo V last night.

The game played like this really fast paced, semi-isometric action game where your movement speed was faster and skills were removed entirely, basically boiling combat down to light and heavy attacks.

There was a huge focus on using the level during combat, so bosses were moving around and you'd be running across walls dodging fireballs and jumping onto demons.

It felt like watching Doom 2016 but in an isometric view.

You can't just keep bringing back characters and locales from older games!

But you said it was fast paced, which Doom hasn't been since it went 3d.

whats the logic behind paid expansions. Every time you release one you get money but the barrier for entry gets exponentally bigger. Eventually you get no new players whatsoever. same shit that happens with online card games
>>
>>738963684
the barrier for entry gets bigger linearly.

copy crimson desert

They will keep making D4 expansions, we still have baal and diablo to kill, and they may also be introducing void/cosmic horrors. D5 will probably happen in a timeskip/sanctuary reset and new plot shenanigans
>>

>but the barrier for entry gets exponentally bigger
It doesn't, because they just give out the previous expansions for free every time a new one comes out.
>>
>>738963747
yes but exponentially sounds more dramatic

Can I turn in 15 damaged snake skins?

Doesnt this irritate the playebase? Sounds like a bad move desu
>>
>>738963936
They're not snoys losing their exclusives.
>>
>>738963852
trying to sound dramatic is fruity, bro.

I only saw very few complaints about it when LoH released and I actually saw a bunch of people who skipped VoH that were pleasantly surprised that they got it for free with their LoH purchase.

I don't think it matters that much because most people know what they are getting into with Blizzard games and their expansions. They have also done the same with WoW for +20 years.
>>
>>738963684
if you're talking about price, it's the wow model where you just pay for the latest expansion and get everything previous as well.
if you mean the barrier being behind on content and systems, well its all quite simplistic anyway and full of catchup mechanics. i don't think that's really a problem.
