What was the first 18+ game you bought? For me it was re4 on the wii when I had just turned 18, the only mature-adjacent game I had played until that was the Metroid Prime games, it really felt like a new world of video games
Bought? I don't remember. But played was Halo 2. I remember begging my mom to let me play it and having to explain that I understand the difference between fiction and reality (my dad didn't give a fuck and wanted to just let me play).

Honestly a lot of 18+/rated m games aren't that mature. Resident Evil and CoD are just arcade games with blood and guns. The real mature games are 2000s Slavic fps games like Stalker or Operation Flash Point that filter most people under 30
