its annoying how useless shops are in modern rpgs (particularly mmorpgs)the old ones you have to save up to buy the next upgrade and upgrades from other sources were rarenow quests just give you overpowered shit constantly or mobs drop the best shit commonlyeven if shops provide the upgrades you usually get too much money so its not something to work towards its just a thing you doyou used to see people wearing random gear because they could only afford some upgrades and maybe they got a rare drop so an upgrade wasnt needednow you just get a full set immediately (like the level 40 quest will give you a full set of level 40 gear) and it all looks the same because you wear cosmetics anyway
