But i sure as hell don't see it as part of the kino that i mentioned. Plot is meh (far surpassed by XG), music is meh (far surpassed by WA), combat is meh (far surpassed by VP), even the presentation is middle of the road. I seriously don't see why would anyone think this game is anything more than 5/10.

I personally enjoy additions and dragoon transformations a lot, way more than most ps1 battle systems (shits all over xenogears slow boring combat), its probably my favorite battle system of all the turn based games. the presentation is definitely high tier for the console only behind mainline FF, music isnt amazing but its good, the story is great once it starts picking up, the main cast is great, rose is the best jrpg waifu of all time, great fmvs, long adventure that only feels padded for a short period on disc 2, and it has the second saddest character death in the genre. but some people just cant get into additions so I get it, I like it a lot more than just hitting x to attack.

Im just really happy we live in a world with perfect ps1 emulation and readily available roms/isos for literally everything. I remember being a jrpg fag back in the day and getting pissed off I could never try out valkyrie profile or suikoden 2 cause copies were >$100 not to mention all the games you just never saw on the shelf or they disappeared before you got a chance to buy them because you had to pick and choose back then.nothing will beat those plastic jewel cases, cd art and manuals though. pure fucking SOVL
