They saved the game!
>>738972518congrats on this, seriously
>release date>24.07.2025What the fuck went wrong with game development? Nearly 10 months to implement text chat?>The full Killing Floor retail version was announced in March 2009. With the assistance of the original mod team, Tripwire would be the new developer. The game was released on 14 May 2009 after about three months of work by a crew of around ten developers.
>>738972719competency crisis
>>738972719>What the fuck went wrong with game development?modern game developers obviously
>>738972719You can't just make a text chat in 2026, you have to follow regulations like this shit if you have chat in your game.
>>738973287Name one game that has accessibility features in its chat. No, not a PC game that is running on an OS that provides them.
>tripwire are incompetent shitters First time?
>>738976195pretty much every xbox game has that shit, just look at diablo 4
>>738973287You can if you let people host their own servers.
>>738972719not gonna defend the devs here but I've seen worse unironicallyit took Epic Games 3-4 years to add a fucking shopping cart for christ sakes
>>738972518I was looking forward to this game so bad, it was the first game I really looked forward to in a decade, I needed it to be good...So fucking depressing what they did to it.The company serious just blew its own fucking head off when it fired it's co founder simply because he was anti abortion, and now the pink hairs are running the asylum.
>>738972518What a BLASTA RETURN TO FLORM
>>738977086i had fun with the free betas. but after the last one i played myself out completely and since have never felt the itch to ever play it again
looks like they TRIPped themselves
>>738973287I've seen people claim this before but never once heard of any of the countless games with text chat that don't adhere to it ever suffering legal consequences. A stupid unenforceable aspect of a regulation means that aspect effectively does not exist.
>>738972719They fired all chuds few years ago, so no one can code anymore.
>fp>awssadwdadsadsawa
This is how I learn KF3 exists.
>>738972518I fucking hate the industry
>>738973287amerikikes ruin everything once again chapter CXVIII
>>738977086Ah yes, based John "loot boxes and edars" Gibson.
>>738977895classic
>>738977895>release a game without insult players and where you cant die to fp by being stuck in the chat menuwhat were they thinkinghow long will kf3 go on for since they dont have any players?
>>738976828You can only just recently claim free games without checking out your cart as well
>>738977637a new law is being introduced so all voice chat needs ID. If NY does it, corps wil just apply it worldwide.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7DibdcQTZTk
>>738972518Ugh, is that new game? I hate new game. New game bad. Why make new game? We already have old game from 30 years ago. Old game good.
>>738972719Unreal Slop 5Firing your CEO Not listening to the fans and doing your own thing despite it not working the first time (EDARs) and the second time (HRG)
>>738972518Blastbros, we're so fvarking back!Time to have some fun!
>easily mogs KF2, KF3 and modern COD Zombies They won.
I think this might be the most pathetic news update I have ever seen for a game. The level of incompetency and laziness on display is mindblowing.
>>738981965based ny killing voice chat so all games need text chat instead
Payday 3 bros..... when are we getting text chat????
>>738982760Round based survival games are generally so dogshit and barebones that it isn't really an accomplishment to be better than what you have listed.
>>738982645>Not listening to the fansThe "fans" don't know what they want. And if you were to listen to the "fans" in the case of Killing Floor, there wouldn't even be any sequels at all. Because you can't make any changes to gameplay, something as simple as a sprint button was enough to enrage the "fans". And you can't use a modern engine, because the "fans" are all poorfags that haven't upgraded their computers in the past decade or more. Moreover and quite ironically, people tend to only refer to themselves as fans when they dislike something, and these people can't be pleased. They will hate your game no matter what you do.
>>738984515I just wanted KF2 to be less adhd, have no teleporting zeds behind the next corner and no fucking robots
>>738984515While I agree fans can be wrongheaded, but can the devs also be wrong? Like Payday 3 and KF3 both launched undercooked and lacking content after supporting KF2 and Payday 2 for years. The increased price is basically a DLC expansion pack for not a whole lot other than some necessary QOL and gameplay changes that can't be implemented in the previous game.
>>738982903>>738972518how the fuck did these games fail so fucking badly when they litterly just needed to make payday 2 but new and better stuff
>>738984602>can the devs also be wrong?Ofcourse, and they often are. However that doesn't make the purported "fans" any less retarded.
>>738984901I don't know KF3's excuse, but Payday 3 was rushed out due to needing money.
>>738984515>something as simple as a sprint button was enough to enrage the "fans".Yes, retard, because having a "I get out of jail free" card at the reach of your pinkie ruins the horror aspect of the game. Killing Floor, at its core, was about survival and rust-covered grunge. But since ADHD faggots like you want to feel invincible regardless of context, this is what the series has come to.>And you can't use a modern engine, because the "fans" are all poorfags that haven't upgraded their computers in the past decade or more. Ah, so you're baiting. I take back my previous seethe, but still eat a dick.
>>738985297KF1 and KF2 were on Unreal Engine 2 and 3, and the games were updated past their due dates. You're not being honest if you're not admitting there's a poorfag aspect to the series.
>>738985142>I don't know KF3's excuseOne part unreasonable deadlines, one part poor business strategy I reckon. >>738985297>Killing Floor, at its core, was about survival and rust-covered grungeFor you maybe, for me they we're always action games.>Ah, so you're baitingNot one bit.
