Doom 2016 and Dusk repopularized the genre. But it is funny seeing all the failed and forgotten attempts before this. Hard Reset, Serious Sam 3, and the Shadow Warrior reboot all tried and I remember being extremely disappointing in them. Now we get so many of these games a year I don't even keep track where before I was always looking forward to them only to be disapointed.

>>738972732There's no point in playing them. At absolute best, they are as good as some of the decent wads for Doom. Just go and load another map for Quake, Doom, Duke, Blood or whatever you fancy and you’ll get something 10 times better.
