i miss the E3
>>
We still have Gamescom and TGS.
>>
>>738975096
I don't.
>>
>I miss commercials and shills
>>
>>738975096
>years of /v/ and normalniggers shitting on E3
>but now they "miss it"
fuck off
>>
>>738975374
Yes
>>
>>738975434
People miss collectively shitting on it. Same reason we all “love” TGA its funny to see the next wokeslop or AAA trash that will be forgotten in a week and laugh at it.
>>
>>738975096
i miss the interesting E3s when they were either presenting good games that i care about or when they had absolute trainwreck shitshows that were at least fun to watch.
>>
>>738975434
It was cringekino.
>>
>>738975096
I do too. Video games are basically dead now though. Gta 6 will be the dead cat bounce
>>
>>738975434
I lamented its inevitable demise as soon as Sony announced they were dropping out.

Not op but I miss that there was a deadline for the whole industry that resulted in a spirit bomb of gaming. This regular release acts as containment for announcements. Now we are stuck in a perpetual will-they won't-they with a slightly higher chance if a Livestream includes Geoff Keighley.
>>
>>738975670
It makes sense tho. E3 was an extremely expensive marketing event that took months of planning and with the rise of social media platforms they can have the same awareness splash for a fraction of the effort/cost.
>>
I miss the anticipation of new games being announced, of video game technique and graphics progressing every year, of new consoles being made, of the threads on /v/.

That's what I miss, not E3, but E3 was where those things occurred.
>>

>stuck in a perpetual will-they won't-they
And even when they announce a game that looks good it's way too early in development and still 5+ years from release. At least Capcom learned that lesson with the RE2make debacle.
>>
>>738975096
You don't, lil bro.
>>
>"299"
>>
>>738975096
ME TOO
God fucking damn it, it's sounds so stupid so miss an event where they just announced games but it was more than that for me, it was the moment we all united to shitpost about the stupid moments and the obviously bad games announced, and also get excited for the new upcoming games or consoles announced and being excited for games that might be interesting.

Now we only have summer games fest but it's not the same, it sucks, Geoff Keighley is an unbeareable fucking faggot and the all the games announced there they all SUCK SHIT.

>>738975684
So instead of setting up a nice looking show for the plebs to think their buying something better than they actually get we dont get even that and the results are exactly the same. Except for some retards on 4chan who miss the big budget industry circle jerk.

It was more about the event, the good and bad of the presentations. It was like a festival of videogames. Sure, since games are a very commercial industry, we it's essentially a bunch of advertisements, but of things that we are interested in seeing. It was often some boring bullshit, sure, or something for casuals, but occasionally something genuinely interesting or exciting. And of course, we'd get the mountains of cringe as CEOs and suits had NO idea how to connect with human beings, let alone the myriad people who play videogames. People enjoyed the reveling in excitement, and laughing together at the cringe, or even mocking the boring, all at once across a week or two of pure vidya. It was a great time, I always used it as an excuse for a little one week staycation away from whatever shit job I had at the time.
>>

>It was more about the event
And the event was a well funded key chain being jingled in your face to lead you to the marketing material.
>>
>>738977610
If you won't read the post, don't respond to me, niggerman.

E3 2010 was the funniest goddamn thing man. Oh God it still kills me thinking about it.

>>738975486
And you'll insist on being above consumerism the next day

I'm not him but fuck you, there is nothing wrong with being enthusiastic about your hobbies. I'm done with you zoomers and your need to be always ironic about everything.
>>
TGS is the best to ever happen to the game industry. It should defiantly have console of the year award to really fire off console wars
>>
>>738978182
>enthusiastic
And you'll insist on that being cringe the next day

Yes. It was the time everyone on /v/ came together to make fun of companies.
>>
>>738975096
Maybe but we have the game awards so who cares
>>
/v/ hates videogames
