I know it's EA, but it was also in dev for 4 years beforehand with plenty of player guidance available from their last two games. I beat it yesterday. There's like 3 biomes were you're told to grab a black box over and over, then the 3rd biome leads into somethings that's finally not a blackbox fetch quest where you fix this observatory, then it ends telling you it's still in ea. Wasn't anywhere near as scary as the og. In the og leviathans roamed in areas you had to get to, here they only spawn in areas that are considered out of bounds. Like there's one next to the tadpole dock but it's in a giant empty space off the side with nothing you need in there, so it's just a spectacle really. 9 hrs of content just doesn't sit right, and it wasn't even good content, just a tone of audio log fetch quests.

They could have an ancient city, robots, unique loot, serums that mutate you, or maybe an evil sauron like figure who tricks you into reviving him. So long as it's locked to a dangerous part of the map, players would need to master the survival aspect before reaching it. Doing fetch quests seems like wasted potential.
