In AoC and AoI we get backstories, characters interacting and talking to each other, fun moments and things that flesh the characters out beyond their original games. THAT is fanservice, the original hyrule warriors was sterile slop with zero fanservice.We had a game with like 30 characters and could have had millions of unique and fun interactions but we got nothing, even the story segments had zero use of the existing characters beyond one-off fights to recruit them before they basically never spoke or did anything ever again. Compare that to AoC with Sidon saving his sister and it breaking his heart to see her alive again, seeing Link draw the master sword to save Zelda from Malice, Daruk teaching Yunobo how to pilot the divine beast...AoC was the only game in that series with actual heart, thought, and effort put into fan service and giving people great character moments.HW:DE was bland slop, and anyone who praises that shallow time waster or claims it was a love letter to the series when it was the most shallow garbage ever imagined outs themselves as a retard who has never played a Zelda game and who hates the series.

You know they fucked up the difficulty when Forbidden resets all map progress when you lose, instead of turning up the aggression. AOI gets rid of ZR moves, so now every character is a generic combo string. Where the fuck is the enemy variety, most of the game is fighting Boss bokoblins when AOC had Ganon's Forces, Astor, Yiga, Gerudo, Hylians, Gorons, Guardians, DLC commanders, etc. The Wizzrobe is nowhere to be seen in AOI. They also made the game more casual with the gay "follow up" mechanic where you press Y after exposing a weak point to magnet to your opponent and now any idea of spacing, timing abilities and judging distance to stun time is gone for one of the worst things you can do in an action game, player character magnetism. Age of Clamity will remain the best HW, the scenario is the better version of BOTW, better characters, story and world, music too.
