Dont unlock characters unless you really want to use them. Since you need to grind Proto Bahamut endgame for weapons and he can only drop weapons for characters you unlocked. So you want to grind out the weapons for all your favorite characters first. Unlocking characters at the end also makes them start at a higher level with more of their skill tree unlocked.

My gripe with this game is if I want to try out a new character I have to do a shitload of grinding for them to be on par with the story/my highest level-mastery-weapon characters. Hope there's a trainer out there to just modify numbers because fuck this is a waste of time.

I am enjoying this game a lot. I bought it because the idea of a 4-player action RPG with build autism and a decent combat system sounded too good to be true, but it basically is just that. The combat system is not super deep but it's never dull. Also the voice cast is insanely stacked. A shame that the english subtitles seem to not line up with the Japanese audio.

Cagliostro is broken as fuck but his gameplay basically just revolves around spamming his weakest combo ender because it builds a fuck ton of SBA gauge. A bigger part of his game plan does have you control the pacing of the fight due to the said SBA gauge build and dispels for the hardest fight in the game currently.You can't really go wrong with Cag though, even if you don't like his playstyle or get tired of it he still mlkes for a fantastic AI teammate both for actual clearing and auto afk farming.

Its fun seeing things come apart but by cheating you flat down the angles all at once, you not only dont have to longer interact with an enemy and its intricacies but you also rob yourself of that slow drip feeling of progression.
I just played a bit. Level 64. Aside from the team mates who were level 100 and defeated the enemy too quickly, I had fun. And that's neat.
