Only the combat (in boss fights) has been satisfying, but I think I've reached the point where the skills can just overwhelm even the biggest challenges the game has to offer, turning the combat from pure parry skill-checks into energy management. I beat Tachy in hard difficulty during the story, and webm rel is the first ever time I saw this attack during the boss challenge mode. In my successful attempt, I just bodied her during the second phase non-stop and didn't even have to learn or interact with her moveset. It was the second time I reached it. I was also surprised that in my first ever attempt, I had actually managed to reach her second phase without prior knowledge of her moveset just by being extremely aggressive and playing on reaction/vibes alone, but then struggled and died repeatedly thanks to second-guessing and "gotcha!" moments. Still, leaning the boss fights has been a very enjoyable process and imo is the true highlight of the game. The hitboxes are for the most part extremely fair, patterns can be reacted to, lot of attacks can actually be jumped over. (without the big red kanji in sekiro) Save for the occasional jank mechanics, (random flames dropped by the juggernaut ruining your no damage run attempts, colored QTEs being kinda cheesy) it's actually pretty engaging. Boss fights truly carry the game on their shoulders, despite its many pacing issues so far: underwhelming story (naytiba "reveal") exploration not being rewarding, world being a pain to navigate and SNOY influence (yellow paint) that can be felt throughout. From my experience, so far it's a fair assessment to say that stellar blade hard mode NG is still more punishing than any parryslop/souls game (including vanilla sekiro+charmless/bell activated) up until you defeat the Stalker and unlock the red skills (R+A is especially broken, but fun) to cheese bully encounters. I hope to be proven wrong, heard many words of praise for the gacha DLC boss.

I really enjoyed the combat in this game but I absolutely hated all the padding. The little things. For example, once I get a password why do they want me to type it in? The girls are really hot but the game is just bad. It doesn't feel fluid. Movement is clunky, combat doesn't feel good. I played about 2 hours but did not enjoy it, so i uninstalled.
