Is the GAMEPLAY actually good? I've heard people say it reminds them of a good linear PS2 games, but I've been burned in the past falling for this lie.
the combat is it's weakest part
>>738994525i dunno, it's fine i guessbut it does gets pretty hectic if you use keyboard+mouse combo, maybe a controller would be better but i fucking hate playing shooting games with a controller
>>738994449>Is the GAMEPLAY actually good?nope
>>738994449After beating it, I never want to touch it again specifically because of the training mission shit.
>>738994449>but I've beenDon't care
>>738994449Combat is satisfying if a bit too easy, levels are a mixture of ps2 style linear with modern day collectibles hunting, the upgrades scattered through the map, aside from the optional combat encounters, doesn't really make use of the game's strengths with any kind of puzzle or cool plataforming or what have you, it's just your regular "follow the icon" that could fit in literally any game, this takes a significant portion of the playtime in a game that's pretty fucking short
>>738994449Gameplay is decent but at the end of the day I play it for the cunny
>>738994449>good linear PS2 gamesthere are no good ps2 games and the linear games don't play like this
>>738994449I like the gameplay. If you try the demo, imagine being able to unlock more nodes, weapons, and more enemy varities (with their own node puzzle layouts). It is simple, which is why I really like it. If it were more complex or simpler then it wouldnt be as fun. I think its gameplay alongside its presentation, are some of its best strengths.
>>738995306My only issue is that, just like games such as Devil May Cry and Dead Space, some of the weapons you get are absolute dog water compared to others.
>>738994449It's the best shooter Capcom has ever made. Everything just clicks.
>>738994449There's a demo you stupid faggot
>>738994449>good linear PS2 gamesThere was never a good PS2 game, faggot.
>>738995794>There was never a good PS2 game, faggotTiger Woods PGA Tour 2005.
>>738994449Playing one of those grid-routing puzzles every 3 seconds while in combat was not a good gameplay decision for an action-shooter.
>>738995651Yeah, there are a few I barely used while playing. The training sims are meant to help introduce you to the weapons, but I didn't do them till late into the game. Some weapons are perfect for certain enemies and specific situations (ex. static bomb for the creeper enemy, crowd control bomb for the giant walker, etc.). However, I didnt find a good use for the laser weapon or the drones weapon.

>>738994449Surprisingly very tense. Hacking takes more time and concentration than you'd think so enemy swarms can work up a sweat easily.
>>738994449the game has been cracked and you can just play it. just play it
>>738994449it's something different but the game is too easy for the most part and the novelty wears off before the game is done. And it's only like 15 hours so it wears out quick
>>738995789Real answer.
>>738995020quit acting like a fucking retard on the internet.
>>738995794ironic coming from a nogamecube tranny...
>>738996287If anything, 15 hours sounds way too long for a single playthrough (assuming that's what you meant) for a linear action game.
>>738996694that 15 hours does include going back getting all the items to 100% each area and doing all 30 challenge missions (some actually are a bit difficult)looking at some silent playthroughs on youtube it looks like you can get it done in about 8-10 hours if you just power through
