This game gets pretty repetitive. I had more fun in the first 2/3 before the game's gimmick of >turn into ghost>walk through shield>turn thing on>turn back>fight enemyrepeats ad nauseam. I had more fun with You Are Empty if we are talking about obscure shooters. Yet I think FEAR is the best out of this era; quake 4 and doom 3 don't feel that good to shoot
A certain other game with the same name gaslit some contrarians into deluding themselves that game was great

I just think that the gravity mechanic is both underutilized and overused, and you never actually have to use the bow and arrow for combat so it just rests on this weird spot where its just a mechanic for shitty puzzles. But I'm coming with the expectation of something like FEAR 1 so someone might enjoy this better without that

>>738997862The first half was a lot better than the second half. I regret coming back to this game to beat it as it lost its magic for me. It does server some sort of spiritual spin-off. The biomechanical guns and gravity stuff in a grim aesthetic is cool af.
