I just read up to volume 5 a few days ago. The quips can be a little too early 2000's quirky but it's honestly amazing how they managed to make a setting populated entirely by special snowflake sparkledogs who all have superpowers and still make it grounded and interesting. I'll definitely play the skirmish video game in 4 years when they finally finish animating everything by hand. Wonder if they'll keep all the crossovers from the physical collector's edition of the game.
