IT’LL BE OUT WHEN IT’S OUTAND WE LIKE THAT
At this point I expect that on launch day the lead dev will personally come to my house to apologise for the long wait before unzipping my pants and sucking my dick
>>739000765Great work ethics.
this game completely spoiled boss fights for me, just quick encounters where you hit the boss 3 times and that's it
wow a 2d gamekys
>>739001048wow a loser teenager wasting his prime years mad about videogames on 4chankys
>>739000765Katana Zero has been out for years. It's pretty good, too.
>>739000765Ive forgotten most of the story at this point. Something about Time Vietnam and a hallucinated loli.
>>739000871That would be gay
>>739001131i mean if you want to play the same game for the 10th time, youre clearly not autistic
>>739000765but still, great work ethic
>>739001641You know what IS gay? Leaving a gripping story half finished then blueballing a man for years that you will DEFINITELY continue the plot real soon.
>>739001641only for the dev
fucking deltarune will be finished before this comes out
>>739000765>dlc finally comes out>no content that wasn't shown in the trailer and dev posts>three levels totalwhat would you do in this situation?
>>739001193>hallucinated loli.i am pretty sure the loli is supposed to be real, that she was just murdered or kidnapped by the organization that was using the protagonist to do its dirty work. i could be misremembering stuff I haven't played it in years.
>>739002632The dev isn't the one getting his dick sucked by a man
>>739002956>Sucking a man's dick is less gay than getting your dick sucked by a manFuck it, I believe it.
>>739002642Both Deltarune and Katana Zero suffer from the same issue where the developer had made all the money he could dream of so now there isn’t any incentive or deadline to actually finish the game
Has Justin given a reason WHY the DLC is taking so long? I remember a while ago he said something about working on other projects in between working on the DLC, but even if that's true, I don't see why it would take him so long to make this thing.>>739002786I would personally travel to Askiisoft HQ with a bomb strapped to my chest and blow myself up along with every other employee in the building.
>>739004396He stopped doing blog updates years ago. The main issues he himself cited were helping on other indie projects and the ever increasing scope creep of the DLC. But if you look at his past as a developer, because he did make games before KZ I think it becomes clear enough:>His games released before this (Tower of Heaven, Pause Ahead) were simple platformers with nice aesthetics essentially, they were Flash games and while they were fine they weren't the kind of standout Flash games /v/ and everyone else talks about and were pretty small>So Katana Zero is defacto the largest game he ever released despite still being only a handful of levels>It's also the first game he released for money, this plus leaving the story as open-ended as it is means he likely feels a much greater obligation towards it>Justin has said in the past that he really enjoys getting his ideas to work but then loses motivation on building everything else around it which explains why his games are so simple and why he was working on other stuff at the same time>Also he already killed one other large project he was working on before Katana Zero for what we can assume are similar reasons>He's also still the main (possibly only) guy doing all of the programming and everything so he has to do the "build the rest of the game" part regardlessSo he's a hobbyist turned "pro" trying to fulfill a promise for his customers, but he gets easily distracted and he has even less motivation to work on the DLC since unlike the main game it's going to be free and his roots as a Flash dev mean he really doesn't want to turn around and make people spend money on it, and that would look really bad at this point anyway. Combine the growing expectations about the DLC (he also said the DLC would not wrap up everything about the story years ago) with all of that and it's likely just burnout. He needed a tard wrangler OR he needed more hands on the project to make it faster (smarter idea).
Why does anyone put their faith in promises and deadlines from devs at this point?Even if they are made in good faith, we all know there's going to be changes, delays, or the dev just straight up disappears. The No Man Skies or Cyberpunks are always going to be massively outnumbered by the unfinished AAA slop, indy abandon-ware, and kick-starter dreams. After playing games for so long you think faggots would realize that if they don't like the game that's there, don't fucking buy it yet.
>Katana Zero DLC>F&H Termina update>Onirism online multiplayer>Dead Red Hood
>>739005702>Why does anyone put their faith in promises and deadlines from devs at this point?Dont look outside dev is alright unlike funger
>>739002632>only for the devIf he makes you cum then you're the bigger gay.
>>739007260>>F&H Termina updateIt's due to get an update? I still haven't completed the first game.
>>739005702Not even that, it's a fundamental engineering fallacy. You cannot predict when a project is done. What you're supposed to do is estimate how long it'll take, then multiply it by a factor of how-much-leeway-you-need. E.g. if your mom has cancer, multiply by 10. If you are a NEET, multiply by 1.5. The goal is to under promise and over deliver. Another huge part is just being skilled in the craft. Not good, skilled.
>>739008662Yeah, a big content update that adds several new midgame areas, enemies, spells, a fishing mini-game, cooking rework, some enemy and other balance changes, a new difficulty setting between normal and maso-mode, story flashback scenes for the playable characters and possibly other mystery shit the dev hasn't yet revealed. The development progress got stalled some years ago because the dev's PC got shittershattered and he didn't have a backup. He's been posting teasers semi-regularly on Youtube and Twitter, but the actual release date has been at soon™ for ages.
>>739000765this shit was released in 2019
>>739009248Maybe it's a good thing I never got the second game then. Assuming it will ever actually be updated.
>>739005439>His games released before this (Tower of Heaven, Pause Ahead)Whoa, I didn't realize it's the same dev. What a shift.
>>739000953>>739002504Don't you talk about me you son of a bitch!
>>739002910No, I think it wasn't ever implied she was a hallucination, but even I thought she was a hallucination throughout the game. She was just hallucination-coded if that makes any sense.
Anyone have any theories on who V and Snow work for?My money's on Juncture
