>>739001295Leftism is collectivist philosophy, the right favours individualist philosophy, though both can go too far (communism vs neoliberalism)Though the irony of calling Disco a leftist game when the creators were getting paid and fell out over money is pretty funny
>>739001430You’re naming ideologies that stem from deeper worldviews. Actual philosophy is stuff like realism vs nominalism, you gotta dig deeper.

>>739001091Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura
>>739001091Mount n blade
>>739001430That's not even really true. There are individualist and collectivist beliefs on both sides. It depends on the specific ideology. Left and right is too broad and vague of a classification to make a statement like that
>>739001091The Talos Principle is the most important philosophical game in 2026. Truly a visionary game. The puzzles aren't up to the level of Portal but the narrative is absolutely legendary.

Honkai Star Rail. So far nihilism and utopia have been major plot elements. Plus the ancient Greek planet had a shit ton of pop philosophy easter eggs. They even turned Diogenes in to a loli.
>>739001430>fell out over moneyDidn't happen.
No such thing as a philosophy game. Videogames can't be philosophical. They can dabble with historically philosophical (usually political philosophy) ideas, like Marxism or whatever, but they can't communicate philosophy.I've tried the shit ones like Talos Principle (1) and it doesn't feel like philosophy. Its too much of a game, and dialogue options are fundamentally too limited to embody even the basic back and forth of a Plato dialogue
>ctrl+f deus ex>0 resultsi'm disappointed in all of youthe first game was more political, although had a philosophical hard aspect... mankind divided is also decent, a lot less woke people make it out to be
>>739001091Pathologic
>>739004339>like Marxism or whatever, but they can't communicate philosophy.the lack of trust leading to mandatory micro-management (not to mention the need to import stuff from "enemy countries" in case you want to make shit work) in "Workers & Resources: Soviet Republic" highlights pretty well how philosophical decisions lead to real-life consequencesit can be done, but it's hard, and there is a big risk that it will ruin your entire game (making it an "art piece" or some shit)>Talos Principlegnosticslop, although I agree that they deliberately mix up theology/mythology with philosophy

>>739004940I call that the games that make use of (usually undigested) Christian-heretical texts, or those that are incredibly careless/irreverent and might get you cursed without your knowledge (pun intended...)there are MANY, funnily enough most of them coming from China/Japan e.g. Genshin Impact
>>739005141>Demand isn't a philosophical topichuh? wants and needs are though>However religion is tied with philosophyno, in fact when they interrelate it's the exception instead of being the rule; philosophy is for little girls>Leftists are retardsyes

>>739001091Read fucking books you ADHD retard
>>739005247>yes that is on the far-rightYour right or my right?
>>739001091Videogames and true philosophy are mutually exclusive. The closest to the truth was Morrowind. Videogames are for women and faggots manchildren.
>>739004339Pretty much this. You'll get a theme of philosophy or the coles notes, but it's nothing like reading a book on philosophy just by nature of being a game.
The Talos Principle is incredible. the puzzles start out quite easy so you'll likely blaze through the first hour or so but once they get hard they get fucking hard. Each section has computers with old forum logs/messages/quotes that help flesh out the world building. Highly recommend the game+Road to Gehenna DLC expansion but the 2nd game is kinda mediocre i was disappointed after a 10 year wait finally playing the sequel
>>739005153>might get you cursed without your knowledgeElaborate
>>739005682see pic relanyway, the antidote is reading the Bible and having a foundation in philosophy, but who has time for that today

>>739001091Slay the princess at later points
>>739005483>but it's nothing like reading a book on philosophy just by nature of being a gamesure it can, if your behavior (in-game) is corrected every time you stray outside the behavior dictated by said philosophyit does not have to be complicated to be an all-encompassing philosophy, although if you dare apply it yourself, you are basically mutilating your brain just look at how many FPS games are where it's MANDATORY TO KILL... and how few where every conflict can be resolved by non-violent methods (e.g. Thief, Dishonored, Deus Ex series)
UnderrailBecause you are a quadruple agent, thief, mass-murderer, genocider, terrorist or a war criminal, PMC contractor or pirate, and indisputably a shady sort.and you can wonder to yourself what your belief system for doing all this is
