A lot of people like them as a hands off sort of pet that just wanders around and does what it wants, which is true to a point. But it ends up with a lot of owners where their pet is just essentially living furniture. Ive only ever had two and they were both incredibly affectionate towards me because i spend a lot of time with them and know how they work for the most part. Ive taught my current one that hands arent for play so i rarely ever get scratched and when i do its usually that im bothering her on purpose. All that being said, i wouldnt want to own a dog because it demands more out of me than i can really provide with what i work and do as hobbies.
