fundamentally his character arc isn't interesting because it's untethered to reality. he isn't a human with a human upbringing and human motivations and running on human hardware in human society. he's a totally arbitrary bundle of personality quirks with no basis in any kind of mechanical or logical underpinning. Nothing he goes through matters because they can make it up as they go without constraints. The rules are made up and the points don't matter.

You just can't give a shit about teddie because teddie is conceptually heavily flawed. And if he's devoid of bringing anything positive to the table then all you're left with is a screentime hogging waste of space.
