What are your biggest hopes for Death Stranding 3?
natural disasters that happen more than once or twice per playthroughseriously, saw one bush fire, one noteable avalanche, one rockfall at the data scientist, maybe two earthquakes move a couple of stones down a hill?underwhelming as shithow about actual flooding instead of "hey this little stream filled up a bit"
that it will never be made
That he gets his shit together and doesn't make another turd like 2
>>739003673This. I want Kojima to exclusively make tactical espionage action games.
>>739003242mgsv was his last good game
>>739003242more walking and being bored to death
>>739003242It'd be cool if I could be someone with a cooler power and objective
>>739003242Does anyone even want a 3rd game?
>>739004091I still need to play 2 so I'm in no rush, but yes. I want Kojima to keep making games. I'm allowed one.
>>739003620Yes, the natural disasters felt more like proofs of concept than actual risks. Developing them a bit more would have helped. This could really use a DC.
>>739003242More Tomorrow
>>739003242I kinda hope for a Death Stranding spinoff game that's easy to pick up and play, without story and cutscenes. Just pure game.
>>739003673This.I'm now <20 missions away from finishing all Into the wilder deliveries.540 LLL in Death Stranding400 ITW in Death Stranding 2.DS2 might get DLC to add more. But I literally can't do another game. Doing a ton more deliveries would kill me.
>>739003242better models for better porn
Serious question. Why is Norman Reedus's fucked up right eye(Motorbike accident and his eye came out, now has a plate in his face) not really visible in death stranding 2?
>>739003242uca vs fragile express vs apac vs mules vs demens live service faction territory async MMO
>>739009980They probably just updated his old scanned model instead of starting from scratch with his latest face.

make Sam a fucking interesting character instead of the plank of wood he has been
>>739009980They used the same face-scan from DS1.
>>739012046We will with the anime of the black guy who as quote from kojima "Sucks something important"https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFLoRTwPticAnd the A24 movie about the vet porter>The Veteran Porter grew up in post-Stranding America, where private porters picked up the slack for the destruction of the United States and its infrastructure. He joined a porter outfit led by none other than Higgs Monaghan, who at that time did not have DOOMS but "had a nose for BTs." After Higgs became a Homo Demens, the Veteran Porter left and became an independent porter contractor. This story explores the conflicts of the Death Stranding origins, Higgs, and his lust for power in a crumbling America all through the eyes of the man who became a legendary porter much like Sam Porter Bridges.
Don't bring Higgs back. he's fucking terrible. can't believe I endured him for another game
Physint's a prequel, yeah? Right?
>Death Stranding: On the Beach>you never visit the beach, unlike first game which always throws you on the beach
>>739012419doubt it is the same universe>>739012647yeah you do
>>739012647It's Lou who is on the beach. Higgs is on the beach. And your final boss fight, is on the beach. Plus you're a nigger.
>>739013040Lou is in tar city, not the beach. Also, the final fight is 0.5% of the game, not worthy of being in the title of the game
>>739012967But the building to his right says "Bridges", lije sam bridges porter
>>739014021don't see it
>>739003242>Play as Tomorrow>Still have a urine meter>But now there are omorashi mechanics too>Watch her squirm when she needs to pee>Can wet herself if you don't make her pee before the urine meter is full>Because she's a girl, she has to squat down to pee unlike Sam (and you can see her cute little butt when she does so)>This requires more privacy, leading to more situations where the pee option is unavailable, and thus more omorashi
>>739003242Nerf the vehicles to the ground and lean more into autistic simulation aspect of carrying cargo on foot. Less radio calls and no companion characters. Just have Sam or Tomorrow talk to themselves and slowly go insane from the loneliness.
>>739014774If they physicalized everything like is planned in Star Citizen the vehicles would be a lot more interesting.
>>739003242feet
i think they should not make it
>>739014927Same. They seemed to have ran out of ideas since 2 already feels like reheated nachos. However if they're willing to take the series into more punishing and hardcore direction then I think a third game might have a chance to be more unique. But that's not how modern game franchises evolve. They become more braindead with each entry.
>>739015101There's a point at which you should make a different game.DS was an interesting experiment, but do we need three of them? Don't know if we even needed 2 (I still need to play 2).
>>739004091I do, but I don't trust Kojima to make the sequel I want. He says he doesn't want to direct DS3, but he already has a plan written up for it anyways and has the type of personality to inject himself in it if the director wants to do something different.
>even fans of the game don't want another onegrim
>>739003242More Rainy
>>739003242I know it won't happen, but here's what I want from a sequel>sandbox open world instead of linear journey>big map, go and connect whoever you want>bunkers take more effort to connect, you'll need to do multiple side orders before they join the chiral network>focus on smaller character based stories and subplots rather than an over arching narrative>increased challenge and requirement to bring specific gear. some routes should cockblock you if you don't bring the right tools>map should be vaguer/less useful at start. you shouldn't be able to identify where the breaks in cliffs let you easily go up them until you go to that area or place a tower. >nerf vehicles off road. truck should only ever be useful on roads.>your own personal bunker somewhere in the middle of the map that you can build up over the game by delivering things to it.>inability to save anywhere. I enjoyed that aspect of the final Impossible suborder where you couldn't just undo a mistake without having to start the whole quest over. Combat encounters are already sort of like this, just need to apply it to the other deliveries.
>>739014774Agreed. They should've atleast had some really cool vertical mountains that could've allowed piton paths or something or the sort. Then have fun end game items like anti-grav shoes that allow you to just walk on it.
>>739003242Depressing solitary misery simulator 3?No fucking thanks.
>>739018046These are actually pretty good ideas.
>>739003673thisDS2 sucked
>>739003242Proper dynamic environmental hazards, the story structure not being the exact same>>739012357>gets vored by baby EE Tomorrow>death is not the endYou will get more Higgs and you will be happy
>>739012046I thought the differences between Sam in 1 and 2 were pretty sweet. Goes from a loner who avoids contact with everyone, to being outgoing and open in the sequel.>>739012357Literally nobody but you thinks that
>screech in ur path
>>739003242That is actually good.
>>739019629I didn't like Higgs because I wanted to take the story semi-seriously, and I just couldn't with his antics. He would teleport in, style all over Sam, then get owned by an NPC before teleporting out. His motivations make no sense because if he wanted to cause torture Sam or kill Fragile he could easily do it with his abilities, but only ever seems to use his powers to show you a cool scene every few hours. And you, Sam, never get an opportunity to beat him. Never get to give him his just deserts for thwarting you. It's always someone else that gets to push him in while you watch. Even at the very ending, it's Tomorrow that does the final blow (and you know he's not really dead).
for it to be so shit it finally knocks kojima off his high perch as an auteur he bafflingly crafted for himself

less gameplay and more exposition where Diarrhea Shitman tell you about chiral convergence for 2 hours even though whatever the fuck that is has no affect on gameplay at all
>>739003242kojima needs to fully commit to the idea of setting up the chiral network with routers and data centers, the game should be so detailed that by the end of if youre a fully qualified network engineer
>>739003242I think Kojima wasted his time with DS2. Should've gone full development on Physint as soon as DS1 was done. But oh well. See you all in 2028
>>739003242pick axe, mountain boots and rope for climbing mountains and its not like your dry humping the floor like a retard how the fuck do you make a game about traversal yet you cant climb?
What's the deal with OD? I was kinda interested in that. I'm not really feeling Physint if it's just going to try to be another MGS.
>>739006510Why did they even not include features that they introduced with DS1DC ? I'd like to replay the kraken boss fights but we can only replay the Neil fights which are the fucking worst. Some questionnable design decisions and exclusions of things that were in DS1+DC all around.
Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is not a video game. It's Kojima's $100 million excuse to hang out with Hollywood celebrities while you hold the left stick forward for 40 hours. Almost every location has a flat path straight to it. You can make any delivery by holding forward or driving a truck. Congratulations, you just experienced "gameplay." The game throws numerous tools at you that you absolutely never need. It's like being handed a Swiss Army knife to eat soup — the equivalent of playing Doom where enemies fall down without you ever pulling the trigger. But the crown jewel — the absolute proof Kojima doesn't make games — is the "Pretend You Won" button. Die to a boss and the game literally asks if you want to skip it. Pick it and you get a SLIDESHOW of how the fight would have played out. The results screen reads "Imaginary Victory" with a drawing of Sam sleeping. Even the protagonist doesn't care. No game should let you skip core combat. That's not accessibility — that's a confession. That's Kojima saying "gameplay doesn't matter, just watch my movie." The single greatest evidence he's NOT a game developer — just a film director accidentally given a dev kit instead of a camera.Did this cinematic walking screensaver win GOTY? NO. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 — an actual VIDEO GAME with actual GAMEPLAY — bodied Kojima's celebrity meet-and-greet simulator at The Game Awards, Golden Joysticks, DICE, and GDC, racking up 291 GOTY wins in 2025.But don't worry — his own game taught us the solution. He can just Pretend He Won. Skip the awards, read a little slideshow that says "Kojima won GOTY" with a picture of him sleeping. Imaginary Victory. Kojima — put down the controller. Pick up the camera. Stick to making movies. You clearly want to. You were never one of us.
