What are RE4's genuine flaws?
The remake is better on a replay
>>739004062QTEs and the island goes on a bit too long. love the game otherwise
>>739004062i never liked the island part, i just wanted it to be over already by then
>>739004062Perfect, oppressive, claustrophobic village setting turns into>Leon's adventures in Anor Londo>Leon's adventures in a military base>ends in a Skyrim Draugr dungeonIn short 80% of the game is shit.
>>739004062I've played it through over 50 times, even done a knife-only pro run.The only part of the game that I dislike is the lava room. Everything else is kino.
>>739004062QTEs, being unable to move while shooting has objectively aged like milk, seeing enemies slowly walk towards you to accommodate the slower pace looks ridiculous, most some bosses are trash, there's a lot of chaff especially on the island, the radio convos are cringe if you're above 16 yo.The remake fixed most of these issues and feels much better gameplay wise.
>>739004601>muh realismfucking retard lol
>>739004062End of Chapter Results don't give you a Letter Grade like 5&6 or Mercenaries does. It's an adventure game like Legend of Zelda, not Arcade.
>>739004062Ashley's screaming is still stuck in my mind. >LEON!!!
>>739004062The story is low quality compared to the Raccoon City arc. Salazar was stupid character. Even Saddler was a generic villain whom I just had to look up the name of because I had forgotten him. Yet ask anyone who played RE2 or 3 what the main villains were and without hesitation they'll tell you.I won't deny RE4's gameplay was sexy as hell, like an 18 year old kinky nymph sucking your cock off sexy, but the story beats were lame and gay. The whole evil priest bit was an interesting concept but in the end it was generic and goofy. The overall feel was more arcadey and each level felt disconnected from each other and you could tell you were playing in an action arena whereas with 1-3 you felt like you were traversing real places.

>>739005435The Las Plaguas parasite origin story is a thousand times more interesting than some lab grown virus.
