Why bother with a better monitor if it will make artifacts more obvious.

>using your pc in complete darkness
why?

I am a creature of darkness like gollum

What does it have in its PCI slotses?
>>
>>739011770
If you were Gollum you'd be singing silly songs while hunting orcs.
>>
>his eyes are a digital camera
Is this why some NPCs defend the dogshit autoexposure that's so prevalent in modern games?

I use VA TV.

So why aren't they doing anything about this? Even VA is seeing some improvements.
>>
>>739012006
based. VA is best.

Also it always looks way worse on photos than to the naked eye. I have an IPS and I really need to strain my eyes in the right conditions to notice the backlight bleed.
>>
>>739013493
no you don't
>>
>>739013493
It's because you don't have an OLED (or even VA) panel as reference to truly see how shitty IPS glow and backlight bleed are
>>
I use some $100 shit I got on amazon, works fine.
also it's a 4090, thanks. I got it for basically nothing from some AI bro wanting to "upgrade".

Yes I do. Right now, browsing 4chinz with Tomorrow and having a blue light filter, I don't see any noticeable blotching of the backlight. I also keep the brightness at 1/4th since who the fuck keeps it at 100% all the time.

I'm sure VA and OLED have better contrast than IPS, but the former suffers from ghosting and the latter from burn-in/burnout. I'm hoping for miniLED IPS backlight technology to catch on since it'll be the best value offering. The IPS backlight glow ceases to be a problem when you can just turn it off, you get true HDR now that you can turn off the LED's, and you get better brightness than OLED's at the cost of not having per-pixel backlight precision.

If you can afford a 5090 I doubt you're watching media content on your gaming PC in complete darkness.

MiniLED IPS with local dimming on doesn't even catch up to MiniLED VA with local dimming OFF much less with dimming on
>>
>>739011770
I like this image way too much

When plasmas came out and had perfect blacks and no motion blur, why did you buy an LCD?

Why didn't you care about this shit until marketing and advertising started talking about it? For me, it was like night and day when i saw it with my own eyes.
