The other companies was just making these "hype" games with realistic graphics and sometimes great trailers but in practice were extremely boring to play. In 2026 it's 100 times worse. Basically everyone not Nintendo just did live service slop, boring games, games that just look good but shitty gameplay. Even the successful games in my opinion are pretty shitty. I never saw the appeal of pubg, fortnite, apex legends etc.

I always end up buying every Nintendo machine to play Zelda and almost nothing else. Almost any non Zelda game on Nintendo machines ends up being some silly baby shit or cringey anime weeb shit. I'll buy one to play that OOT remake of it comes out this year.

They make high quality games with appealing characters with gameplay that is accessible to children. Apparently, this is very hard to do because no other company comes close to what Nintendo does. Astrobot is lame as fuck and will never be as beloved as Mario or even some random pokemon and that was one of Sony's better attempts at making a kid friendly character. Nintendo can leverage their characters and IPs into lots of different games and make them successful because people just like the characters.
