Story was outright tone deaf, Shrine was a grindfest to unlock anything you wanted, lack of minigames aside from test your might, bullshit challenges that were virtually impossible without cheating, dlc was padded out, overpriced and dripfed with promised characters sometimes just being kameos or skins and overall lack of content even now it's 'finished'. What makes it suck extra hard is that the gameplay is good when all the pieces are working, and you're not worried about having to focus on grinding out a weekly challenge to progress.
