Will Nintendo ever actually have a struggle era or are they too big to have a failure affect them now
>>739019843According to the average life expectancy I'll be around for another 60 years so I'll tell you by then I guess
Their struggle era was gamecube. Wii u to a lesser extent. The thing is they used to rely on their handheld devices to circumvent one "pillar" failing. They don't have that now, which is why switch titles have been so hilariously safe.I think unless they make some ginormous fuckup with the switch 3 they're probably pretty safe.
>>739019914They were making safe titles when the wii was in its twilight years and casuals did not follow so yeah they kind of just do whatever they want.
>>739020308The wii was already a success and it did not matter at that point, hardware was pushed and software never had extraordinary attach on the wii. Wii u was an abject failure on all counts, as was gamecube. Gamecube dropped to like $100 REALLY fast after launch.
>>739019843Nintendo is an emotional brand, much like Apple. In order for them to sink, they'd have to flop a lot, consecultively, for decades.Look at Blizzard. That's what they've been doing and they still have fans and followers, and Nintendo is a lot more popular and loved and iconic. They could probably survive five WiiU eras back to back.
>>739019843as long nintendo has pokemon/tloz, it will never struggle to get money from
>>739020476If more IPs like fire emblem actually died with entries like Awakening they would have less to fall back on but yeah pokemon has them set for life.Even when they had to apologize on twitter for how bad SC/VI ran nobody gave a shit.
