>>739021334It's a lot like ds1 with the way the world is connected and the slower paced combat just with the modern qol features of bloodbornes health gain and sekiros parry mechanics. The artstyle is a Gothic Christian style which Ireally like but i feel is inferior to the 2014 very edgy sharp style. Personally I found it way more fun than elder ring really loved alot of the late game bosses except the last one.

>>739021659With all the hardest modifiers applied, the combat is fun enough but still not particularly hard. Only a couple bosses took me more than two tries or so. Enemy placement is fun in a lot of places but the variety is shit. And the further you get, the less interesting it gets. Particularly, it resorts to bringing back mini bosses as normal mobs but doesn't have the balls to make them setpiece battles so it's only ever an easy 1v1.
There are 3 soulslikes I have yet to play that I have faith could be good. I only remember 2, dont remember the last one. I used to think it could be wuchang, but I'm not tolerating that chinese pandering nonsense.

PVP was fun because most people who invade forget the umbral plane exists and is essentially tears of denial. And buffing and enchanting is insanely op compared to souls games.

LotF has nice and fair boss fights, there are a few gimmick bosses but most are cool straight fights. Play on Veteran mode though, it's the game's original difficulty level before it was reduced to baby mode in version 2.0
>>739021334I'm not a fun of the aesthetics in particular but it's still my favorite souls-clone. They did really well on level design, had the good sense to add a deflect mechanic which Fromsoft still refuses to do, and the bosses are pretty fun albeit on the easy side of things.
