I think a lot of normies want to look cool by being able to blurt out a bunch of Warhammer lore or look like they're into it more than they are, but I don't know anybody who actually paints figures or plays tabletop or anything significantly "nerdy." I think 40k, because of games especially, is one of those things people think they have to be into as a sort of nerd qualifier. They want to be Henry Cavill in that interview. "OH! You're into nerd stuff? But you look so normal! I guess we'll make an exception for you and your autism."

So far my favorite spinoff has been Speed Freeks but that shit died fucking fast on PC. I'm hoping that the console port revives it since it's coming with crossplay.
