This shit is the most disappointing shit I've ever bought. Overpriced piece of shit that just wastes your time.

Tell me how to lock gyro mouse control to a single axis then. If it can do that then I am tard, otherwise it's fucking dogshit and only praised by valve cultists
>>
i don't think you said shit enough times, could you add more?
>>
>>739025847
aww, did baby not manage to snatch a copy and is now cranky?
>>
>>739025847
>Axis Filtering Within the Gyro settings, you can isolate your movements:Yaw (Turning Left/Right): Keeps the controller locked to the horizontal plane. This is generally preferred for aiming in first-person and third-person shooters.Roll (Tilting the controller): Used more for specialized actions like steering in racing games.Pitch (Tilting up/down): Rarely used on its own, but available for custom mappings.
did you even fucking try to google it retard
>>
>>739025847
First off, WHY would you want single axis, like, just horizontal aim?

Second, just set vertical sensitivity to zero.

Retard.
>>
>>739025847
Literally in the settings, you retarded tranny.

Where the hell is that option? I selected all of them, messed with the values, nothing happened.

Lmfao. What did you expect? No one buys the Steam Controller to actually use it. People just buy it so they can flash the Valve logo and say they're sooo e7ite gamers. The Steam Controller is the Balenciaga of controllers--cheap shit made in China but marketed as an expensive luxury item.

>no community layouts because only scalpers bought this shit
Sad
>>
>>739026289
Biggest problem with this shit controller and controllers in general is they all assume steam input actually works (it doesn't). Really wish these fucking things would just use HID++ or something similar and just configure the actual controller. The 8bitdos also have the habit of only actually working with their chinky botnet running since xpad mode and all the remappable buttons don't work (also no gyro lol).
Sick of this shit.
>>
>>739026289
What are you even wanting?? You said single axis mouse, and got suggested like 3 fucking ways that DO work, did you not actually APPLY the change like a dumbass?
>>
>>739026447
Literally any steam deck layout works JUST fine and is indistinguishable. This is a meme argument
>>
>>739026483
>and got suggested like 3 fucking ways that DO work
Why are steam cultists so aggressive?

>did you not actually APPLY the change like a dumbass?
Confirmed for a massive fucking faggot that didn't even bought the toy that he bought. You don't need to apply nor close the menu, everything is done automatically. I know that my changes are applying because the way the gyro works is changing ingame, the issue is that it still isn't doing what I fucking want it to do

>>739026530
Not a single 'ick on 'eck layout even has the grip sensor option enabled you cocksucker

You faggots go
>it just werks lel
but didn't even bother testing it
>>
>>739026289
Try setting the Vertical/Horizontal Mixer to 100% or -100%. I've never done this before, but the description matches what you are looking for.
>>
>>739026620
Then idk what to tell you dude. I literally just tested on my deck (which is parody) which gyro at negative 100 vertical scaling, and it literally ONLY aims left and right. This IS what you want right??

Also the grip sensors are 2 fucking bindings, just download an existing thing and add them. You sound like a kid who would cry about getting legos as a kid because they don't assemble themselves.

If you can't be bothered to change a setting, its not the controller, its you being retarded.

Infact if you spent half the effort you spent in this thread all your complaints would be fixed by now

It's a 9/10 controller. If the right stick were removeable it would be 10/10.

Also nvm I've already solved my issue, turns out that I should have just picked a better game that doesn't rely on gyro
>>
>>739030467
>Rely on gyro

Nigga wtf are you talking about? Few games even SUPPORT native gyro, most rely on steam input

Either you are skitzo and can't communicate for shit, or shilling and don't know what you are shilling about.

Name the game
>>
>>739030859
You think there's an actual game involved? I doubt he even really owns the controller.
>>
>>739031254
I know, i know, but i gotta call bs. Fragging to with gyro even without steam controller is peak.
>>
>>739026447
I'm working on one for Squad rn Desu. I'm almost done though, I went full retard with it so it's more than a simple button mapping
>>
>>739025847
Idk I'm having a blast fucking around with input settings. The obscene shit you can do with action sets and layering and the different input settings is pretty cool
>>
>>739025847
Did you try adjusting the vertical/horizontal output mixer?
>>
>>739031685
My favorite is a weapon selector mode shift for right pad. Set mode shift to a digital menu or weapon wheel, activated on pad press. You can now instantly swap without interrupting literally anything
>>
I used tape on the capactive sticks to create a third button on the shoulders. Just on the outer corner of the triggers, its useful for gyro for touch to fire so you get no kickback on aim. Also for rpgs, mmo, crpg using the touch sensor combine with trigger i can create 3 different shift layers on it alone with touch for layer 1, press in a bit for layer 2, full depressed layer 3.
Steam controller is just god tier if you just want tinker away and create creative control schemes. It's really half the fun for me.

I play games for about 40-50 hours a week, and I burn through 1 cheap chink shit controller per year. Dual senses are even worse, and I went through 3 in 1 year and even brand new their battery life is fucking garbage. For all controllers I've used the battery stops holding any charge so it's effectively wired and then shitty ass USB C stops working so the controller constantly disconnects with the slightest movement.

The magnetic charging on the back HOPEFULLY will solve a problem that literally every other controller I've used has. At the very least they are making the repair parts very easy to get. If I can get 2 years out of it it's better deal than burning through chinkshits every year.
>>
>>739025847
i bought the g7 gamesaar instead
>>
>>739025847
There was so much retarded shitflinging before release that I can't take any sort of criticism towards this controller serious. Sorry, anon.
Also filtered.
>>
>>739026530
Decks layout don't have gyros and that is the hardest thing to setup properly
>>739026447
90% of game released before this controller won't get many community layout simply because people already done with these games unless it's an active mmo
>>
>>739035449
>Decks layout don't have gyros
????????????
Yes they do?
