One of the best SRPGs out there, at your point you've barely scratched the surface of how deep the build autism gets.
Fuck clowns by the way.

This game gives me choice paralysis and stresses me out ngl

Really good game even though its got scars of its weird ass development cycle all over it. I can't believe this game made me actually take a cult of spoon obsessed freaks seriously.

any newfag tips? when's the best time to do purple missions?

Only a few hours in but I think KINOOOOOOOOO

The single most important newfag tip is, and this may be a bit controversial, but look up the list of Mastery Sets, it's in the steam guides. A lot of them can be really hard to find on your own, and they're what you're REALLY after on the mastery board. Certain quests that give you options are worth doing more than once, as often picking a different option gives a different unlock, and some of those are quite important. Don't worry too much about crafting until you're either very late in the game or want to use specifically the hacker chick since her weapon upgrades can ONLY be crafted. Do actually do all the shooter street sidequests though, you can get some nice stuff out of them. You can purple missions whenever you want, really, they're fun. Though I'd probably recommend skipping the first one or maybe two until you get Anne since it's really annoying otherwise. Don't be afraid to change up your mastery boards and strategies as you progress further into the game, since some things that are very effective early on become very ineffective as the game progresses.

Also, fuck robots.

Played it for 3 hours and put it firmly in my "I'll get back to it soon" pile about 2 years ago.

Literally all you have to do is equip 2 pieces to see the rest of the set. It's not hard to discover things on your own at all.

Did they change it? When I played it it would only show the TYPE of the remaining pieces but not what they actually are until you discover the set for the first time. This can/could(?) be really hard for some of the sets that are just a collection of 4 basic tiles.

For each remaining piece it tells you whether it's something you already own, if it's something you can currently craft, or if it's something not available to you at all yet. That makes it easy to find things by experimenting.

fun but the late game can get a bit annoying with the responsive sniper shot spam and block rates

Quite a few masteries were locked behind capturing minsters, raising eggs and redoing certain missions with a different choice that I would not have figured otherwise
