2 was when the franchise was at its peak, and I refuse to pretend otherwise.

you don't have to pretend because you're 100% correct

It's definitely the most fun to play imo.
I keep trying to restart ME1 and the gameplay is so stiff.

2 made me drop the series because of how big of a dowgrade from 1 it was.

I didn't like some things about it, but you could really tell they hit their stride with the feel of the world/setting and aesthetic.

The suicide mission is peak kino. No other game has ever managed to replicate something like it. Witcher 3 came close, but didn't clear the bar.
>>
I liked all 3 games, hell, even Andromeda was fine.
>>
>dumbed down abilities
>dumbed down squad commands
>substitutes for previous team members
>completely isolated team missions results in no sense of urgency for the suicide mission
>extremely repetitive waist-high wall cover fire gameplay
>the retarded human reaper
no lol

shush
you're gonna get revisionists coming in here pretending that ME2 wasn't the peak and that v didnt like it

It was a major dumbing down of the genre as we knew it up to that point, but everything Bioware released afterwards is inferior, so I have to agree.
