I was so disappointed by the GBA castlevania games that I stopped buying jewtendo games entirely.

DSS was a cool idea marred by like 95% of the card effects simply not being worth taking over the other 5%. Your average player is probably just going to go through the entire game with the STR boost effect, maybe swapping for Cockatrice/Thunderbird cheese on bosses if they know how summons work. Game would be much more fun if you had multiple ability slots to play around with like the later games.
