Star Fox Adventures is the videogame equivalent of the Joss Whedon version of Justice League. They took something dark, mythic, dripping in atmosphere and absolutely ruined it. Dinosaur Planet was shaping up to be another Conker's Bad Fur Day. Mechanically weak, but carried entirely by atmosphere and story. Efforts are underway to repair and restore Dinosaur Planet, but it is slow going. Once the decompilation is complete things will move a lot faster.

>>739037783Not sure what you're talking about. Dinosaur Planet is really good, but it's also really fucking broken because the build came from some kind of intermediate testbed from late 2000 full of broken pointers and stuff. Repairing the game has taken some time. The current plan is to finish decompiling it then the fixes can be made at the raw code level instead of painstakingly hacking the rom.
>>739037996Really just more proof that there are some talented people other there who could be making some truly amazing indie games, but they instead want to waste years on jury-rigging some abandoned prototype that will probably get DMCA’d eventually anyway simply because it personally offends their fragile egos that there’s a game they never got the privilege of playing.
