Some will say it's even where some series like Monster Hunter or Phantasy Star peaked. And if you love visual novels or obscure JRPGs it has some of the classic greats on there. But if you were hoping it was some sort of equal counterpart to the PS2 or able to accompany the PS3 in a strong capacity, it was pretty fucking dogshit, and the sales on many games showed that. Too ahead of its time as a portable multimedia platform, and not enough staying power against Nintendo to justify itself.

modded vitas are overrated, psp games look awful on it and 99% of vita games worth playing are on other consoles. psp had a much more lively and interesting homebrew scene and it made a lot more sense value wise to have a modded psp at the time. vita even to this very day is the most dogshit way to emulate the few consoles it can actually handle without stuttering

Not really. Resolution was too high in games and the system wasn't durable, battery life was shit. Couldn't be powered from a power bank while you played, I think. Games on it weren't good.Could use it as a browser, and if you bought an app, as a notepad, and portable music player, and video player. Could have been a lot better. Should have been the switch.
I bought my Vita for $80 a week before a jailbreak method was discovered and I still felt ripped off getting the entire game library for less than $100.
