If not I try to figure out what combinations would make the most sense without walking into spoilers, although the only thing is always allow to myself is to look up the races/classes of future companions so we don't end up with doubles. Alternatively I might read discussions about what the canon options for the MC would be, as such arguments tend to include tidbits from the story or lore and also more practical POVs like which class is "missing" from the companion roster.

>>739096671Completely removing the (granted, fairly short) downtime and starting with magical shit straight off and just getting to pick all the best spells as soon as you level up makes the sorc such a less bothersome experience. MMM's big thac0 boost and five attacks per round means I don't even miss not being able to melee shit for practically all of SoA and by the time it starts falling off I've already got my level 8 slots and can just horrid wilting/incendiary cloud everything to death anyway. And obviously once we hit 9th level spells and HLAs the game is immediately over, we don't even have to wait to find the good level 9 spell scrolls. You're practically just as invincible since you get all the same bullshit arcane magic spell/combat protections and if you go Dragon Disciple the con bonus, AC bonus, and fire immunity make you even more immortal. And none of that shit even matters because the game is ACTUALLY over as soon as you hit 7th level spells since sorc takes Project Image and makes it the most laughably busted thing to ever be put into a CRPG to date.

I've tried playing Neverwinter Nights 1 and 2.The setting, music, story, characters, even the user interface elements and sounds are evocative and get me into a "role-playing mood". But the gameplay is just watching your toon swing over and over again, occasionally switchingtargets and quaffing a potion. What am I missing?
