The netflix shit is really confusing to me because it's not a game, it's not canon, it's easily ignored, yet everyone is freaking out harder than when DmC was in production despite the fact it was actually damaging to the brand.I can't help but view it as anything but zoomers and secondaries who started DMC with 5 who simply did not know the series existed before 2019 and are making a mountain out of a moehill.

The characters outside of Dante have always sucked. I don't mind when Lady becomes a military commando or Vergil becomes a demon general or Dante becomes a British punk rocker because the characters have always been meh. Unironically, Kratos has more depth than any DMC character ever has.
