Start. Doing. This.
go be a miserable fuck alone
>>739096530I don't need steam to have no friends
I deleted 30 friends for hacking recently. I will be down to 0 soon, it looks like.
>>739096530ive been doing that
>>739096530that's already what my friends list looks like. i wish i had friends
you people deserve to be friendless
Having friends is fun Anon. You do play with your friends, right?
>>739096530Used to be you'd see your friends hop on CS or TF or whatever. Who plays those games anymore? Who uses a server browser anymore? Used to be worthwhile when it was a viable IM service. Everyone uses discord now.
>>739096615Or else what?
>>739096530Fahdonne kos hokoronne.
>>739098384Or else you'll be the worst thing ever. You'll be unmiserable.
>>739096530I did this but IRL.
>long time friend stopped logging in
I miss my steam friends. but they don’t miss me. fuckers
>>739098627actually just invisible. I'm not removing you but also not showing you what I play.
>>739098627I need a new computer dude
>>739096530i only add irl friends
>>739099626i only add people who add me. idk why.
>be friendly to someone in a game>they add me>add them back>I never talk to them>they never talk to me
>>739096530No.
The only online games I still play are full of faggots who only add you on Steam to flame you or leave awards on your profile.
>>739096530But i'm not a social reject.
I have two kitty cats. They are the only furriends I need
>>739100945This was one of my two experiences when adding anons. Even when I initiate conversation it grinds to a halt afterwards. The other experience was joining some anon group and them gossipping each other's backs.
>>739096530Literally me btw
>>739099626same, and no people from work
all my irl friends are the most normie boring NPCs you can imagine, divorced, debts bunch of issues etc... meanwhile me here playing some vidya having a blast, no woman, no kids, no debts, this is why they hate gamers we live the good life.
>>739100945>add a /v/ anon to get deadlock access>think I'm in for an awkward conversation before we part ways>we actually end up chatting for few hours>ask him if he wants to play sometimes>he agrees>few days pass>check to see if anon wants to play>he unfriended me
>>739096530i have a bunch of internet turned real life friendsthey're nice and i consider myself lucky as an autist who has struggled with making friends his entire lifebut one thing that has remained constant all these years is that people on 4chan understand me better than any of them ever could
I have almost 300 steam friends and I've never talked to any of them. They all added me because I had a popular pawn on Dragon's Dogma and they wanted to rent her for free.
>>739096530I miss the old steamUI
My friends list is mostly people from early tf2/fighting amphibian days that I don't talk to any more
>>739103520lol>ask for deadlock invite /v/>get message on steam>"sup bud need an invite">"yep sure do">add each other and gives invite>never talk>never even played together>still have each other addedit just how it be sometimes
>>739098627I only play gacha games these days, dude.
>>739098627Sorry bro, I'm still here. Just invisible because you won't stop sending me stupid youtube videos or interrupting me when I just want to play a single player game in peace. I'll pop back on when I want to play with you.
>>739098627He dieded
>>739096530i drive all my friends away with my insatiable autismI'm very lucky I'm not a lonely person and I don't care that much at least. Maybe that's why my autism runs unchecked in the first place
>someone adds me as a friend>accept>they instantly start acting gay and weird / too personal >block them>make thread about it on /v/>narcissistic weird gay faggots have a meltdown because they get blocked/ignored all the time and never take a hint
>>739098301>Everyone uses discord now.If by everyone you mean trans groomers then yes everyone
You know what I noticed? The fuckers on this board that complain about having friends that go invisible mode never seem to become friends with each other. Sounds like the match made in heaven, right? The reality is, they can't stand each other. This is similar to how things are in real life. A lot of people like to talk to me because I'm a listener. They generally don't ask me how I'm doing or about my life aside from a courtesy question before they info dump. They only need an ear and someone that asks good follow up questions and looks engaged in what they are saying; which I'm good at doing. And they lose their shit when you're avoiding them.
>>73910094560% of my friends were like this, the other 40% chatted and then either never chatted again or did when we randomly bumped into each other in an online game.I'm okay with this.
I have 3 which I also speak to on a weekly basis. I never understood having 50+ friends on steam
>>739103604>old steam vgui would take up less than 100 mb in background with the in-game overlay on>new cancerous chromium web view interface might take up 700 - 900 mb shortly after booting up just by existingNot only it looked better but also worked in a more efficient manner, I wish Valve cared more about this.
I think the reason we like places like 4chan so much is it's non-committal and impersonal. We can be ourselves completely, and discuss our thoughts and ideas without fear of any permanent rejection. Even the random autist nobody in real life can stand will get some (you)s on here for his occasional good take. It's nice having personal relationships, but honestly, I'd much rather anonymous conversations with no strings attached. There's always somebody on this fucking board that wants to talk about some obscure subject I love.
>>739104401I like 4chan because it's the only place on the internet I can find people who care about what I care about as much as I do. Also random fags on 4chan make me laugh more than anyone anywhere else.
>make innocuous comment in steam forum>some gay third worlder has a paragraph long melt because my profile is private
>>739096530I have people added with good taste in vidya so they act like a curator for me for games I haven't checked out
>add someone from here>turns out it's a femoid with red flags and obvious BPD>unfriend and block
>>739104479I've always found it humorous that there is a high probability that some poster I've cussed the fuck out in some heated argument was at one time a poster that made me laugh or agree with in another thread.
>>739104653fake. Everyone knows women don't browse 4chan
>>739104653Bet it was my ex. Did she have a Y and an L in her username? You dodged a bullet, bro.
>>739104695they do, and they are universally mentally ill and ugly
>>739104048You and me both anon, I spent most of my childhood and teenage years barely speaking to anyone and just listening to people bitch and moan about random bullshit since as soon as I tried to actually engage with what they were saying or talk about things that weren't directly related to them they almost always just left or tried to steer the convo back towards them.It became exhausting to the point where I started avoiding most people entirely, even my own sister and mother. I went years barely interacting with anyone except for other people that actually allowed me to talk back (all of which I could count on one hand) and I didn't start talking with my sister until a few years ago when she had a massive mental breakdown about how I had been avoiding her for most of our lives and "good brothers listens to their sisters!". I just snapped and told her to shut the fuck up an listen to me for once in our lives and that I had been avoiding her because she acted like a massive fucking narcissist whenever we interacted, it was always about her and how I could "help" her but never about me having feelings of my own. I don't know what made it stick that time but she finally started actually listening after that.It feels like most people today, even old fucks, don't know how to shut the fuck up an listen. They just want to talk until they have nothing more to talk about and then leave rather than have an actual conversation, no wonder why chat bots are crippling the social lives of most people, they are getting EXACTLY what they want with said bots. Thanks for reading my blog post. Video Games
>play coop games with friend from time to time>gifts me a game>ask him if he wants to play together>doesn't answer, offline for 4 daysDon't get this dude sometimes. Or most of the time. And I know he's not dead.
>>739104695That's what I thought.>>739104721No, but that bitch has an army of faggots simping in the comments. She invited me to play terraria but I declined.
>>739104785Well said, anon. And I agree. You do have to set your foot down. I cut a lot of people out of my life, a sister as well. I can count on one hand how many friends and family members I associate with. Incidentally, they're all good caring people. We can have back and forth conversations, and the only fighting is over who gets to be the more generous one like paying for dinner or something. You are the company you keep. Those are my family. Blood can suck my dick.
>>739104974I still remember one of my former coworkers that had 2 kids and were bitching about them at lunch one time a few years ago. He was bitching about how hard having kids are and how much responsibility it is and blablabla. He blew his lid at me when I said "Yeah, I can imagine" without thinking about it.>"WTF is that supposed to mean anon!?">"Oh... I uh... I just meant that yeah, having to care for people who seem ungrateful about it sounds familiar to me...">"How do you know anything about that!? You don't even have a girlfriend! We are nothing alike!">"I'm sorry if I came off as insincere, I didn't mean to, but I don't need to have had a partner or a kid of my own to relate and I can sympathies with how your feeling">"Shut the fuck up anon before I throw you out of the room"After that some other coworkers tried to calm him down and the rest of the day went on as usual. To this day I have no idea what might have set him off to the point where he were ready to bite my head off, the only thing that comes to mind is that he might have thought that I sounded sarcastic or were making fun of him in some way.Although, I don't think that I was the one at fault regardless since he has done the same thing with other people for less understandable reasons, I guess he just did it towards me more often since I usually tried to keep conversations going during lunch.
>add college roommate on steam>he drops out and leaves without telling anyone>got word he fucking died>dont have the heart to delete him from my friends list>now watch his "last online X days ago" counter endlessly tick upwards
>>739098627he outgrew you
>>739105430Sounds like a complete cunt who was just looking for an excuse, ANY excuse to unload at the nearest target. Don't give it attention. These people are not worth interacting with.
>yfw your friend is younger than youTf
>>739096530i even do this IRL
>>739097285why do you dislike your friends hacking?
>>739098627That's just me who made myself invisible because I dont want people to see that im playing while at work and I dont want them to see when I start playing FUTA FUCKS FEMBOYS
>>739096530Nah. Even if things come down to having to purge I'll never delete the one of my friend from before I moved out of state. He passed away and that name on my list along with fond memories of our friendship are all I have of him.
I like sharing screenshots with my friends and reading friendlist activity though :)
>have fun with someone in fighting game>they add me after match>accept>they never ever speak to me once after that>unfriend them a month laterevery single time
just clean your friendlist every once in a whilei keep mine around 20 since that's about the max amount of people i can care about at any given time
>>739104048
>>739096530the amount of friends I have on steam can be counted on my hand
only have cousins and nephews as gaming friends and the occasional childhood mates lmaoI'm done trying to interact with needy strangers or people that always call me dweeb
>>739106780Not him but usually people will start banning you by proxy because if you hang around with hackers they consider you to be a hacker as well.
>>739098627Friend of mine does this. We'll hang out and play shit together on and off for a year or two, then out of nowhere he'll just stop logging in for a year or two. Every time he comes back its cuz he suddenly had to move house (thanks current housing market) or his PC died again. He's one of those dudes whose PC fucking just up and completely explodes every 2-3 years.
>>739104048This is exactly the same reason why Femcels and Incels dont just hook up. They absolutely detest what each other stand for, or have standards higher than their own station.
>>739105430Your co worker is a low IQ retard. Low intelligence makes you unable to put yourself in someone else's shoes and imagine how they feel. He got angered by something he fundamentally cannot understand.
>>739096530the irony of you posting this for validation
