>sends his PTSD'd FBI intelligence analyst to a crime scene alone with no backupWhat's his problem?I've read on 4chan that he might have ties to the Connections. That true or just a fan-based rumor?I'm mostly finished with the game.
>>739109326>see her turn into a monster>jk it was just a cocoonIm really glad i watched a playthrough on YouTube for free instead of paying a cent. You faggots almost tricked me.
The Connections have been set up to have influence in everything in the US government at minimum as well as being the force behind every single antagonist organization in the series, down to them forcing the DSO to back off with Leon and Sherry continuing against orders. Why they decided to have The Connections as yet another organization when there were already multiple that fulfilled the same role in the same context, I don't know. There isn't any confirmation that Grace's boss was directly influenced by them to send her to be captured as far as I know, so it sounds like a fan theory to me. But considering the context, it's not farfetched.

>What's his problem?Crapcom story writers.
>>739109326>I've read on 4chan that he might have ties to the Connections. That true or just a fan-based rumor? When you reach the final computer as Grace prior to the last Leon section, there's a flowchart on there that spells out their methods to try to capture Grace, and this includes putting pressure on the FBI to investigate Raccoon City Syndrome and then planting a RCS victim body at the Wrenwood Hotel as bait. The dude calling the shots is just a retard jackass after that since nothing implies he actually was tied to the Connections directly, he just put two and two for Grace and Wrenwood together and went "TIME TO FACE YOU FEARS".
>Resident Evil is badly writtenNews at 11
Autist...
You can say a lot about RE but its stories are not very bright, and neither are their fans.
>>739110558They always outsource story, lol. They have an internal continuity team but the literally just hire writers from scriptwriting firms to make the whole thing. And it's nothing new. Sugimura from RE2 was also just a writer from a third party writing firm.
>and then there was an even bigger secret undergound labThis universe was never meant to have this many sequels and spinoff. The stories stopped making sense after RE3.
>>739109326wait... isn't he black?He looks whitewashed here
>>739109326the cop that attacks grace in the hotel was the backup
>>739111258He's an older Anthony fantano.
>>739111196It is pretty funny how, at least from what I remember, 1-3 was just "company makes evil virus, hilarity ensues" and from 4 onwards its just "turns out theres dozens of evil parasites and natural viruses and mysterious molds all across the earth that creates all kinds of monsters".
>>739111196It stopped making sense after CV, but more due to the fact that so much was set up in CV that was basically pushed to the side with 4. All those "LET'S TAKE DOWN UMBRELLA" speeches at the end of every game only for Capcom to go "jk umbrella went under due to stocks oh jkjk HCF, the family and/or the connections facilitated it"
FBI agents don't look like this
>Braille puzzle>it's exactly the same as a puzzle you've done before, but in braille>There's a total of like six possible combinations, so even if you don't know a damn thing about braille you could just brute force it in like 20 seconds.>"No, I NEED to escort the little blind girl over here so she can do it for me."
>the lore was pretty dumb from the start>9 Resident Evil games plus numerous canon spinoffs
>>739112234That one could be trapped, better to be safe than sorry
>>739109326a bit?
>>739112234She knows the key words and solution. One would easily be able to tell which ones mean which without brute forcing just by process of elimination with how the characters are arranged. And even considering that she obviously can't, braille is on the buttons of the other boxes that still have the symbols. But let's carry a little girl through a building full of zombies instead of looking at either of the other boxes again.
>>739109326Yeah, pretty much for that reason. Abandoned crime scene, where her mom was murdered, no back up..probably.
>Grace do you remember where you witnessed your mother stabbed to death right infront of you? Well guess where im sending you? Thats right! The very one! The blood stains from your mother will still be there also the exact same room you booked last time you were there needs investigating according to our intel. Have a great time!
>>739109326>organization with allegedly practically infinite money is one step away from acquiring what they assume is the ultra-turbo-giga-it'll-work-this-time-for-sure-guys bioweapon of their dreams>literally the only thing stopping them is password protection on a terminal from the '90s>instead of mobilizing their infinite funds in a practical way to crack software from 30 years ago they put into motion an wile e coyote scheme to kidnap a clueless FBI analyst who might possibly have some kind of epigenetic memory of the password>said analyst doesn't actually know the password but nonetheless figures it out within at most a couple hours of entering the compound
>>739113005>>Grace do you remember where you witnessed your mother stabbed to death right infront of you? Well guess where im sending you? Thats right! The very one! The blood stains from your mother will still be there also the exact same room you booked last time you were there needs investigating according to our intel. Have a great time! She wasn't stabbed, she was hacked.
>a franchise where you need a key with a trebol on it to open a door in place than shot it with your handgun, shotgun , or a fucking rocket launcher>its dumb
>>739113124Ethan in 7 absolutely needing a knife to cut some loose electrical tape instead of peeling it off
>>739111196It's actually pretty bad when the original RE1 and 2 end up looking grounded and realistic with their underground labs compared to later entries and the remakes. Umbrella must be the single most wealthy company in the world with a revenue stream greater than the entire GDP of the US with how massive and expensive all their underground labs are.
>>739113005Ah, grace dont worry about how your mother was half decapitated in front of you. But wait! She's not really your mom, you were an orphan adopted by Spencer in a cheap way for redemption! And just handed you off to Alyssa. Oh, and youre like special in someway because of Elvis, Elpis, whatever the shits called
>>739111784Yeah, the undercover male ones.
>>739113303HE'S GOT A GUN LOOK OUT
>>739110558How many people do you think Leon has killed over his 20+ year career as a zombie hunter? Were they all zombies? Do you think those people are just obituaries now? What would be a logistical nightmare for an FBI agent? Who would make her really miserable?
>>739113384Sexy, sexy zombie.
>>739109982>There isn't any confirmation that Grace's boss was directly influenced by themIn my headcanon someone above him ordered him to do that and that's how we get the game
>>739109326he wanted her dead, that's all.
>Grace when did you graduate fbi finals? Five minutes ago? Oh great because Ive got a crime scene that needs investigating asap, intel said its where you witnessed a horrific murder but whatever am I right youve got your fbi badge and gun and take these flowers for me and lay them for your mother as I knew her as in I got sucked off once in a bathroom stupid bitch thought id leak her inside info if she gave me ol suckeroo heh I pumped a fat load down her throat and left haha anyway enjoy your first assignment .
>>739112234Giving her as much grace (ha) as humanly possible, it's possible that particular puzzle box is trapped and may do something if you try to brute force it, or the opening mechanism itself is just fragile and wouldn't respond well to attempts to open it incorrectly. Seeing as Grace had someone who could easily get the correct solution input with no real chance of error, it's not a completely irrational choice
>>739113763All of this is because of her ptsd, she's not really an autistic manic dream girl.
>>739114087Her to Emily>i-its like a big puzzle box! :DI lold because Emily's blind, she has no idea what a puzzle box is.
>>739114087If that's the case, it's even crazier to let a child do it. Especially when she feels so much guilt about Emily's apparent death that she's implied to willingly go with Gideon and Zeno to the lab.
>>739113027Also afterwards leaving her abandoned hanging upside down unconscious with a blood collection bag extracting her blood (which can kill you eventually) in an area with a monster that's been known to kill people while simultaneously initiating a protocol to turn the entire facility into zombies. Then later after losing track of her again blows up the whole facility. I guess you could just argue Victor is insane so it doesn't matter if the things he does are stupid.
