Been messing around in the Brigador Killers demo, doin' a little terrorism, as a treat, in between getting my ass laid out by cokeheads with six gauge blunderbusses.

I have a few gripes with the demo but in general it seems really promising. Mostly it's just that the early weapon and vehicle economy are weird and there's no reason to use anything but an upgunned utility van 90% of the time. There are other cars available early, but they aren't faster, can't hold more weapons, don't appear to be more durable, and don't hold cargo. So why ever use them? You can get a van as early as your second mission ever and it's not much harder to fit it with a loader kit than anything else on offer.

Besides that, the actual combat feels great and I'm really looking forward to the finished game.

played muramasa demon blade all fucking week in hard mode. it didn't age as well as I thought it would. combat is really fucking annoying until you learn some tricks and get some good specials with I-frames and after that the game is a total mash fest, until you get cheeses with off screen bullshit. and going for full completion turns it into a walking simulator
not to mention you fight the same enemies the whole game. it was cool when it came out but I'd rather play the odin sphere remaster or even asltibra again

I am trying to achievement hunt in this game but there are some bullshit skill requirements to get some of them which I do not have. I can do 4B and 6B a bit, nothing fancy, trying to learn 5B and 8B which will make getting some achievements easier. There's also at least 4 DLC I don't have. No I don't recommend this game despite having 400 hours in it. Always online DRM, too many DLCs making it expensive. Devs never answering what will happen to the game when they decide to no longer keep their "online" game online anymore being the big one. I've been playing their games since I figured out how to crack the PSP back in either 2008/9 so I will continue to play this game and buy up DLCs during sales.

Most of the PSP titles if not all are on PC in Respect V as DLCs so you can play the old Portable 1 and 2 songs and Black Square and so on. But yeah, very expensive even when on sale.

I've been really into Reverse Collapse these past few days. For a "real" game made by gacha devs it's surprisingly good, but almost all of my experience with tactical rpgs comes from entry level shit like FE so I don't think my take is worth much. Beat RE4 remake in professional.
Now in the process of beating RE9 and getting the 4 hour speedrun, not using mutated blood and not using healing items on Grace.
It's actually extremely easy since you can complete it in casual difficulty, and let me tell you Capcom went above and beyond in making this game retard proof in its lowest difficulty.

The Witcher 3. Been a while since I played through it, and really enjoyed the game so decided to try and give it another run through. It's been absolutely butchered though, for some unknowable reason CD Projekt decided to put out an update for it that ruined both its normal lighting and performance just to add the option to turn on Ray Tracing, which only further kills performance. A 4070 TI should not be getting 50 fps on a 10 year old game.
Finished Final Fantasy 12, against my better judgement. Tried to play it over a decade ago and dropped it halfway through, so decided to give it a second chance. This was a mistake, I remembered exactly why I dropped after a few hours in. It's absolutely the worst Final Fantasy I've played, worse than 13 and 15 by far. The setting is brown. The people are brown. Everything is brown. You won't see any other color for at least 10 hours, when you get a brief reprieve of some green before you get sent back to more brown. The voice acting and graphics are so much worse than X, I don't know how they managed it. The story is a joke, none of the party has any reason to do the things they do and half the time events just happen offscreen despite the party being there the whole time. The gameplay is mindnumbingly bland, but that's better than I'd expect given how bad everything else is. I finished the game out of spite, so that I would never even have to think about playing it again.

I've been fucking around the last week after finishing Death Stranding 2 just milling time and vidya until Mechanicus 2 hits later this week.

Extremely fun if unfair PS2 Dead Rising 0.5. Grab it with the SOULFUL translation patch and you're in for a very unique experience
You take a knight, a chuuni half vampire rule63 Dante, and a Castlevania cowboy and save a town full of inbred villagers from themselves, monsters, other humans, and the titular vampire.
My only regret is that the game is pretty short. You can knock out both routes and redo them both for S-Endings in one weekend.
And for any future souls in the archive, the S ending requirements are to WHILE SAVING YOUR GAME AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE, save/bite everyone while taking as little damage as possible at a brisk if generous pace. Two saves was enough to go from S to A iirc, and 10k damage received was the ISLA max. Under an hour thirty to 2hr played for vampire route and probably more or the same for the ISLA side. On NG+ ISLA side, leave town immediately to save Shriman to go for the human side True Ending. There's very little English info available guide wise for this even out there except an old IGN guide written by a very aggressive individual

Played Bioshock2 recently for the 1st time. Very fun gameplay. I really do not like the feel of Bioshock1 on controls and combat so it was a very pleasant surprise.

Been playing Dune: Awakening. Finished the story quests and it's more or less collecting resources for the ability to collect more valuable resources. The Deep Desert is massive and boring to navigate. Luckily you can pack up your vehicles and store your entire base in some kind of tool, items and all, and just redeploy it whenever you want to come back to it.

Started playing Akiba's Trip, will play Nier Replicant v1.22, Bullet Witch and Red Faction Guerilla soon and put Asterigos on hold because I'm tired of soulslikes atm (even if it's one of the less egregious souls clones out there). So far they're all goo, but Akiba's Trip has some of the most ass-backward combat I've ever seen in a game. I'll chalk that up to not being at the point where you learn about combat and it's easy enough to learn by ear, but man they ought to have made a game were combat is a focal point have better fighting. Everything else is pretty nice though. It's a digital museum of late 2000s early 2010s Akihabara, sort of like how GTA IV is aesthetically accurate representation of late 2000s early 2010s America (specifically New York).


I'm also realizing I'm essentially a 7th gen action (RPG) console gamer in terms of my tastes, just on PC.

All the recent talk about an hypotetical future Smash game made me dust off Ultimate.

i just finished the parasite mutant demo. it was good. i also played and beat parasite eve for the first time in 20 years thanks to 2x ff through most of the game. it was fine for what it is. vagrant story style combat with a simple but unique equipment upgrade system. played and uninstalled kletka. boring coop indie trash. also played pragmata up until about 10 minutes until the last fight and dropped it. levels are designed around restricting movement and abilities and making things annoying, rather than being designed around abilities and movement.
