My brother sleepwalked and pissed on all of my games. He claims he has no memory of it and he was just using the bathroom in the dark. He never sleepwalked before or after that. Makes me think. At least my parents bought me another console and replaced the games.

I believe my parents always wanted me to fail. No one ever believed in me and I could always tell they were expecting me to fail as they watched me do anything, even when I was a kid. They anticipated it even, and I felt that it was my duty as a son to fulfill their wishes and respect them, so I developed self sabotaging tendencies. They never expressed it overtly but I understood. Some parents want their kids to be dependent on them forever and be just like them and never do anything their own way. I feel ashamed by the fact that I don’t care about all the same things as other people do and feel silly about the things I do care about when people clearly act disinterested when I express them.Sometimes when I do pull through, they act very surprised and go into great detail about how they thought I would fail horribly. I mean, they seem surprised in a good way but shit they don’t even try to hide their lack of faith in me. It’s little things like that that convince me it’s not just in my head.It feels like my job in any relationship is to hide how little the other person cares about me from them, and I sometimes think I’m so good at it that I grasp their feelings and read between the lines before they even understand them themselves
