>>739156330Its fine but is not as good as the first.Lots more padding, multiple points of forced grinding for rare drops to make a specific weapon to progress the story, and the game being broken up into days doesn't work as well as it does in the first game, in the first you've got a tournament that progresses daily which is the driving force for your protagonist, meanwhile in the second game you go from one day to the next with no real meaning to it, there's literally a part where the antagonist says they'll fight you at the same spot tomorrow instead or something along those lines.

You are misremembering a lot of points and I can say that as someone who recently beat the game again I beat the game without fighting any random encounters, I ran from everything and stormed the game with bare minimum. Just get the Beast Medal, make a weapon with that, then get the Beast King Medal and the weapon you make with that + Boost Motor is good enough to beat the maingame with. There is a lot of depth and if you want to make all 200 recipes and such that does take a lot longer for sure, especially if you want to do everything in postgame.

I played through it 2 years ago, and had played the first game a year before that, 2 is a downgrade all around, I can see how some people might like the new crafting better, but for me thay was also a downgrade, I much preferred the recipe system in the first.2 made me not care if 3 ever gets translated, its clear nothing is gonna come close to the 10/10 expeirence I had with 1, its just gonna be another 7/10 like 2 or worse.
