Voting to Betray round one just makes no sense at all. It seems unlikely there would be fewer than 3 rounds. The justification for some is vaguely that there's a killer out there and that people can't be trusted, but I don't think that's really good enough. Anyone with a brain would consider the repercussions of immediately voting to betray and how it could affect them getting any more points in the future.
Hey believe me I know. If they just all voted to trust they could have easily all left. I chose Route C first time playing not knowing anything and the explanation phi gives on the prisoner's dilemma and how she broke apart the game is what got me into the series... and immediately took me out of it as she tells you to betray. But, it was kind of cool when you go back into the flow and choose the other option and realize what's going on. Especially because this is the same route that has the multiverse ending, it was a good experience for me, but it sucks there's no real satisfying end.
>>739159954To be honest, this is my first playthrough and I just got mad because it just makes negative sense to me for anyone to have done that.
>>739160115Why do people betray each other indeed...Well, as you progress through the game, you will probably hit a dead end if you haven't already at some point. If that happens, you'll need to choose another path in the flowchart. It's not always a dead end, but... I guess you'll just see what I mean if you can hang in there.
I tried playing this just last weekI like the story and started to get into it, but holy fucking shit, does the game not respect your time>Hey, we have to go back to room X>Fade out/in, map screen with a slow-moving dot going through corridors>Fade out/in, Elevator>Pause, doors open>Fade out/in, doors open>Fade out/in, back to map screen with the same slow-moving dotAre there mods or something that cut out the retardation?
>>739159772You don't know any of these people. If you make the wrong choice, you're saddled with 1 BP and effectively fucked for the rest of the game. I don't blame K/Clover for thinking like this, fuck Alice and Dio though for instead going "fuck everyone else, more points lmao"
>>739160409iirc there is a skip option that goes turbo speed through everything including animations at the expense of the dialog control
>>739160409>Stop->Auto->Skip
>>739160525Sure, they’re all strangers, but as the rules had been laid out, it should be painfully obvious to everyone that betraying doesn’t actually help you. It’s trying to do the Prisoner’s Dilemma, but it’s not really equivalent.
>>739160595>>739160663Thanks anons, I'll take another look to see if I just missed a skip option
>>739159772well anon, it's basically like thishttps://youtu.be/S0qjK3TWZE8?si=-phI-WBfqkPgNrlY&t=149
>>739160409Virtue's last reward is infamous for it's transition screens. Remember this game was originally on a portable console and so all those transition animations were hiding load screens. The game has some great twists and moments overall though, enjoy it anon.
I spent an annoying amount of time trying to figure out how to play this Clover Flash game. None of the Flash emulators seemed to work with the file I found, I had to download something called Eltima from a sus website, but it seems to work fine. The third level is a real pain, though if you turn on Mouse Keys, it's doable.
>>739159772Betrayal doesn't make sense, period. It's a game of reputation rather than trust, and you wouldn't betray round 1 unless you planned on betraying round 2 as well.Same for Ally. You wouldn't vote Ally to put you at 5 points only to betray the next and have 8, it doesn't do you any good.
>>739160409>the game not respect your timeWhat're you talking about? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhAU7vAfcjs
I got spoiled on Tenmyouji
>>739163193It might sounds hard to believe, but comparatively, it's a relatively minor spoiler, all things considered.
They shouldn’t have gotten rid of her DSL
>>739159772>Voting to Betray round one just makes no sense at all.>>739159954>Hey believe me I know. If they just all voted to trust they could have easily all left. >Betrayal doesn't make sense, period.I wonder who could be behind these posts.
>>739165558I have no idea, but it's probably someone who's extremely trustworthy and knows everything.
>>739164610
>>739159772>>739160115Given the nature of the game, all choices will eventually be picked and given the nature of the ending, nearly all choices MUST be picked. So it's less about picking trust or betray, and more about visiting all possibilities that each one leads to.Anyway, the trust/betray is hardly the least sensible thing in the game. Once you figure out what's going on, the whole topic is kind of irrelevant.
>>739159772What annoys me is how spiteful half the cast is... If you ever make it out and promise to find help the whole fucking squad will literally dogpile you whilst the blatant scumbag just waltzed out the door. It's not fair or rational in the slightest and the amount of different times the characters pull this shit got me holding grudges against them the whole game.
>>739170704It makes more sense when you figure out that your character looks like the guy who trapped them all there and so they're going to be biased specifically against you over other characters getting out.It can be a bit frustrating halfway thru the game, when you don't know that and are wondering why everybody is such a dick when half the cast have their own different exits. For all that actually matters.
>>739159772Sorry anon, I voted to betray. I just couldn't risk it, you know? Thems the breaks sometimes, heh heh.
>>739159772Any other games that are this genre? I feel like I've played them all.
Don't mind me, just passing through.
Quark is crazy
>>739171142"This genre" as in death games or "this genre" as in Chunsoft sound novel derivatives
>>739160115Keep playing, it gets more retarded at every second.
>>739175791I’ve heard some like it more than 999, which is intriguing
In reality you would just beat the shit out of whoever voted betray until they submit into voting truth
>>739159772If you have ~30 minutes play this short game. I thought it was funny and reminded me a lot of VLR, for obvious reasons:https://ncase.me/trust/
>>739159772Voting betray really isn't a good option, that's why things go smoother in the timeline Dio is not an issue
>>739178986wrong picture fuckhttps://ncase.me/trust/game is called the evolution of trust
Not gonna lie, the 2nd colored ball/line puzzle in the PEC room is making me feel like a brainlet.
