Nintendo saved vidya games.
tim saved them
@grok explain it to me Iike I'm a 5 year old.
hundreds of millions of dollars spent on marginal improvements to lighting that you only notice when the game is boring
>>739165589It doesn't look that great https://youtu.be/KRo9OAVa0hE
how about they don't use all that gay reddittroon digital foundry graphics shit and just make good games
>>739165589So they fixed the legacy lighting and lumen issue that plagued the framerate? >>739165720I like this song, I have it on Spotify!
>>739165589So you saying don't use lumen and it doesn't run like shit?
>>739165720Both of those modes look horrible.
>>739165720That's not showing graphic improvement just performance.
>>739165589sounds to me like the switch cant handle unreal engine
>>739165720Also the test is flawed, the retard is using the defective Intel 14th gen
>>739165701Meanwhile, every game is an over the shoulder walking sim with yellow paint everywhere that has 50 times less interactivity and immersion than games that came out 25 years ago.Gaming is literally going in the wrong direction.
>>739166603Yeah, and because of that Unreal 5 will accidentally be optimized for other systems. Pretty sure that's OP's point.
>>739166603You can't expect much from a RTX 3050 mobile, but at least it's good that developers are optimizing their games and engines for everyone
>>739166603Yoshi and the Mysterious Book runs on UE5.The problem was all UE5 games ran like ass on all platforms
>>739165589>new lumen mode for better performance at same, if not better qualityThey finally gave it an off button?
>not UE 8.8
>>739165589Adding a reduced version of the settings isn't optimization. Optimization is if the original setting runs at an reduced performance cost.
>>739165589>*hitting* 60fps>*targeting* 60fps
>>739165589>just decrease lumen values to dogshit>cracked switch 2Yeah truly optimization kangs n shiet.
>>739171291Its gimped lumen and both lumen and nanite LoDs always had variable values. You were able to adjust levels but most devs didnt do that ofcourse. Expedition 33 is one of games thats using gimped Lumen values from default ones for example. Both nanite and lumen never were just simple toggles in SDK
