>>739174027do you own one or are you doing this for no reason and for free?
play Blippo (on steam)
>>739174027Why does this thing cost as much as half a steam deck?
>>739174393because it's a scam
>>739174393muh screenmuh crankmuh season of demosin reality you should just get a cheap chinkheld and play ps1 games on it
>>739174393fuck that, why are the games so expensive? the priciness of the games is fucking absurd
>>739174027If this was like 50 - 70 bucks it'd be a fun toy, but for that price you are better off buying a chink android handheld (or just a phone controller)
>>739174460it's a goyim milking device. which is symbolized with the crank
The fact no one's bothering to make emulators for it speaks volumes. The gameboy one is okay but the screen being turbofucked sort of hurts that.
>>739175736i mean, have you seen the library? it's just shovelware or clones of other better games
>>739175736The physical thing is almost the entire point of it Anon
>>739174027I thought one of the big selling points of this thing was free games, or am I just getting it mixed up with other scam products?
>>739174027>I love how shitty this isI don't get it
>>739176526Part of the gimmick is that it comes with 24 free games, yeah. The games that devs have made for it cost money if they choose to sell em instead of making them free, since that's generally how publishing games works.
I'm really happy that chuds hate the Playdate, it's nice to have a console where everyone developing for it is pretty much guaranteed to be a decent person.
>>739176526they sell "seasons" of games for it.first one was free.
>>739174393I don't know. I thought it seemed like a neat and cheap little console when I first saw it and I was then flabbergasted at the price lol. The games on it aren't even anything deep, most are more akin to minigames really. I'm guessing their primary market is retards with rich parents, because no one sane who remotely cares about their finances would ever buy this over a DS, or saving for a switch or steam deck or whatever.
Its a "console" for millennials that don't actually play games but want to look like they do
By far the only thing I would buy this thing for would be to play that game the creator of Obra Dinn released exclusively on it.The price of this thing though doesn't justify it's content, I might as well add some extra cash and buy an analog pocket instead or any emulator handheld.
>>739174027A miniscule screen, two buttons, a pointless crank, and the gayest name ever, for $200. I can't imagine anyone ever actually buying this, I just don't get it.
>>739174162>no answer
I'm fine playing god hand on my phone, thx
>>739177374the lucas pope game isn't even a "fully fledged thing", it feels more like a little test demo
>>739174027>$229 US dollarydoos for a 5 inch black and white screen and locked gamesWhat in the actual fuck is wrong with people? I got a Miyoo Mini with every game up to PS1 for like $70
>>739178992it's a free world
>>739174027This thing could have had a legitimate space in the market at a sub 100 dollar price point
>>739174027I honestly respect them for doing this long. It has to be barely scraping by but they refuse to abandon it. Somehow there's also 200 plus games that people have made for it. I guess it found its niche.
>>73917914150 at best
>>739179242I would have impulse bought one up to an 80 dollar pricerange desu
>>739174027Ratcheteer is fun
>>739174393qt 3.14 for ur gf and signals that you are wealthy
I might buy one if the price were reasonable, but just look at that gif, it looks so uncomfortable to use, it's obviously designed as a quirk chungus millennial nostalgia corporate desk decorative bauble and not a fun game system.
>>739179034People shouldn't be free to be retarded
>>739174027It looks like a neat idea, but I can't justify paying $200 for this and really can't justify even picking it up given all the handhelds I currently have that I'm not playing. It sounds like a really neat idea, but "minigames on a pocket game system" is really not something I absolutely require.Maybe if I had a bunch more disposable income, but right now is not the best time. I'd also be concerned about getting all the good games onto the system, if they ever have business problems and the online gets shut down.
>>739174027>The crank can't charge itI laugh every time
>>739183606why would you ever want to be equal to a retard?
>>739174027> seasonwait, people buy a physical console then have to subscribe to play shit on it?
