Generally speaking genres are only useful for identifying what something is or isn't rather than what the specific criteria that make up a category.
Using gender as an example, we can definitely state that trannies aren't actually women, and that females are women, but that doesn't mean we can necessarily express all of the conditions that would preclude or include an entity or person in that category (for example, stating that a woman is someone that can birth children would exclude infertile women, which is obviously fallacious).

SHoot theM UP, which isn't any better than STG (ShooTing Game). But again, can't blame them, cus people often use "Shooting Game" and "Bullet Hell" for games that play totally different such as Vampire Survivors and Returnal.

Unfortunately, shmup is a solved genre.
That's why there's nothing new since 20 years ago.

An infertile woman would still be classified as a woman, with the additional descriptor noting that she is no longer fertile. Not that she is no longer a woman.

I know, I'm stating that if we were used that definition, then they would be excluded erroneously, not that it should be used.
The overall point is that many categories that we intuitively take for granted (man, woman, hell a chair) have innumerable inclusive and exclusive qualities that are nearly impossible to list in totality.

Using, rather.

>(for example, stating that a woman is someone that can birth children would exclude infertile women, which is obviously fallacious).
Someone who is naturally born to be able to carry and birth children under normal, healthy conditions. There.
