That said the inventory/gun mechanic fucked up the future games. in the pre RE4 games part of the difficulty/strategy is that you have limited inventory space so the push pull is about trying to navigate the maze with as few items as possible so you can pick up more stuff and the weapons were more limited and generally not redundant so there's more control over what guns you have and how that plays into your inventoryRE4 gives you a bunch of guns that you can upgrade and a lot are upgrades/redundant to other guns. this leads to the future inventories all being retarded since like RE5 gives you over 9000 guns if they wanted to modernize the system maybe do like 1 pistol and 1 long gun and or have a weight limit or a RE4 style system with the pouches but don't put the pistol and a slinged long gun or whatever you are holding in your hands it
