Can you repeat that in English?

Pretty sure he's insinuating that people don't know how to replace a tire if one busts (auegh~) on the side of the road.
Which is typically an issue of a lack of tools, not of knowledge.

Most cars come with a jack and a tire iron. Even Modern cars have them.

nearly every car comes out of the dealership with a spare, jack, and tire iron. the only ones that dont are $1m supercars that the manufacturers specifically want you to not work on.

>>739213898
then you bought it used and the shyster that sold it to you took them out.

I'm a Minichad but they belong to BMW group. Does that count?

its not even hard to do, why make a thread about this? are you 16 and just learned how to do it yourself?

NTA but I have been hearing more and more of cars not coming with the spare tire as a default option anymore, you need to pay extra. Which is insane but it tracks with every single company in America trying to nickel and dime the ever loving shit out of you.
>>739213013
Everyone that thinks they can't change a tire who isn't genuinely mentally retarded can figure it out with a single page of instructions. People just lack confidence. Removing a lug nut is no more complicated than twisting the top off a bottle. If your car is even remotely modern you will see the jack points clear as day. And provided you don't live in the most ghetto shithole imaginable, if you look confused or do something wrong (like trying to loosen the nuts before jacking the car) someone will just come help you.

theyre both in the manual for a 2023 integra

>>
>>739214976
I googled "Does the 2023 integra come with a spare tire" and found a slew of youtube videos, reddit posts, and car news outlets moaning that you have to pay extra for a spare tire in an Integra starting with the 2022 model. You googled the wrong thing.
>>
>>739215173
>You googled the wrong thing.
no i didnt. look at the link. both pictures are just a couples scrolls down.
>you have to pay extra for a spare tire in an Integra starting with the 2022 model
i see that now that im specifically searching that question. interesting that such a midrange car is trying to be so jewish. still, instructions for replacing a tire is in the manual regardless.
>>
>>739215496
>still, instructions for replacing a tire is in the manual regardless.
That wasn't the claim you were contending though. The anon said
>Lots of new cars now only have repair kits, like mine
Which is true. And its not just Integras doing this nowadays. Consumer reports claims that roughly 45% of new cars nowadays don't come with a spare tire by default. This is becoming the new normal. That said the tire repair kit is quite cool and much better for your car than driving on the donut anyway. Depending on the hole and how well you do the repair, you're really getting the tire back to just as good as it was before. Not an excuse to not have the spare though, you aren't patching anything in the sidewall for example.
>>
>>739214504
nowadays you get what they call a fix-a-flat where it fills your leaked tire with this expanding foam shit, it's supposed to work for a couple miles until you can get to a tire/repair shop
this way they can get rid of the space/weight taken up by the spare tire
super common for hybrid engine cars that use the space weight for the additional hybrid electrical system
>>
>>739215731
>fix-a-flat
Oh, what the fuck? When I read "repair kit" I assumed you'd be getting some kind of plug in it as well. That is so much worse than I could have ever imagined.
You can get a good plug kit for less than 15 dollars, they're really just leaving you with a can of fucking sealant? You're still well and truly fucked if you puncture the sidewall then.
>>
>>739213843
oh, you don't know do you? they started taking that shit out of new cars. it was bad enough when they took out the spare tire in exchange for a donut tire but they also removed that too! your just expected to call a tow truck for everything now.
>>
>>739215863
yeah it's crazy
you have to come up with aftermarket solutions to mount/store a spare tire these days
>>
>>739213013
Every Anon should take the car repair-pill. It's not too different from changing parts on your computer, just some stuff is a lot more heavy. Changing the pads and rotors on my car is around 250 dollars, but a mechanic would easily charge 800+, likely a grand. Even if you need to buy a jack, jack stand, wrench and socket set, you're saving money. Mechanics are the ultimate scam.
>>
>>739216264
Maybe you could argue it's a bad value for the labor involved, but specifically being a scam is kind of stretching it.
Especially when there's actual real scam shit we can talk about with the automotive industry.
Like paying a subscription for basic car features.
Not like, a satellite radio plan, but like, actual shit your car can just do but is locked behind some smart chip shit.
>>
RV's "repair" mechanic is pretty basic especially when its car damage is simplistic.
>>
>>739216767
Fully willing to admit I haven't played it but do you mean it's like, too simple as in like, it actually sucks, or are you an autist that deliberately wants the un-fun parts of automotive maintenance in this game?
>>
>>739216264
>but a mechanic would easily charge 800+, likely a grand.
And then tell you that the rattling sound is actually fine and nothing to worry about. Fuck those assholes who know you're going to be back because you don't have the tools to pull apart an engine at home.
>>
>>739216887
Its fun when you can learn something from a computer game. I enjoy games like Receiver, Pavlov VR, and World of Guns that enable me to learn how a firearm operates.
>>
>>739217038
Ok, the latter then, thanks for clarifying.
>>
>>739216887
It being simple doesn't mean its bad. It serves its purpose as a mechanic in a drive your car through obstacles game. It didn't need to be complex and have you check for tire pressure or having to replace/fix tires.
>>
>>739217038
You should check out Hotdogs, Horseshoes, and Hand Grenades.
Dev is kind of a jew and never puts it up on sale so pirate away, but it is the ultimate gun sim. Sequel will apparently have some real missions as well, though the pseudo target practice games that comes with the first aren't bad.

I bought a Tacoma last year and it has the iron behind the back seat. You have to read the owner's manual to know how to use the built-in jack though, and I don't think people actually do that when they buy anything.
>>
>anon claim he love pusy
>has never inserted a tampon
>>
>>739213013
Anyone that owns a car should be taught or teach themselves how to replace a tire. It really isn't hard, just tedious sometimes depending on the situation.
>>739216264
I'd like to, but I don't know where to begin. Also I don't have a garage to do the repairs in.
>>739215890
I got a new Toyota two years ago and it had a spare and the tire iron + jack with it.
>>
>>739213994
Lots of cars cheap out and exclude that stuff these days. My mom's 2019 Fusion came with a big piece of styrofoam where the spare and tools should be. Instead, it only came with a little 12v air compressor.

The included tools are also usually garbage, those little scissor jacks can bend and slip easily, and the basic tire irons only have one hex size, so if the original lugs have been replaced you may find the included iron doesn't fit the lugs.
You can of course keep your own quality tools in the trunk, but most people don't.

should i try replacing the starter motor on my dad's 09 Accord?
