Why do Smashfags have a problem with Castlevania now? I can kind of understand the hate for Fire Emblem(though I find it unwarranted). I mean this person is retarded for cutting all the fighting game characters, but what sticks out to me is the problem this person has with CastlevaniaReally? How does Castlevania hurt Smash? It doesn't have overrepresentation at all and the franchise's influence cannot be overstated(Granddaddy of Dark Souls, early attempt at horror on the NES, the second half of the Metroidvania genre). Castlevania has a fighter, an echo fighter, an assist trophy, a stage, a fun boss, and probably some of the best music the franchise has ever had. Why remove Castlevania of all franchises?Maybe I'm cherrypicking this one particular Smashfag, but more people are condemning the fighting game cuts than the Castlevania cuts.

Out of the 8 characters, 4 of them play nearly the same and even Ike and Corrin have a lot a similarities between eachother. So you either stop adding them (unlikely, since it's a first party IP) or add characters with actual unique movesets.Which is why I'd advocate for Toothpaste's addition, because there's actually something mechanically interesting going on there. But the others need to be cut.The next game is going to have significantly less third party additions in general, so don't be hopeful for too many of those.
