On a really low sale they are fine but not a single one of them is exceptional. 1 has awful bosses and awful camera angles, 2 is ass, 3 is probably the best game in the series at a 6.5 out of 10 for simply feeling the most complete, and both 4 and 5 feel like half finished games with the second half of both feeling like shit. all of them have the same issue of having extremely small enemy variety and poor bosses, as well as your character having a very small moveset that doesn't allow for fun comboing until 5. They are bad at worst and fine at best and after playing through them all you will be shocked to see that such a mediocre series has ended up with such a legacy.

Can I enjoy these games if I don't want to go for max rank in every level? I played bayonetta and vanquish and they were pretty good, but it feels like a grindfest if you want to get the most out of them.

i played them all except 2 and the reboot. well i gave 2 and the reboot a try but they were shit like many people told me they were.so for the others: dmc1 - it's alright but it's kind of a slog and has bad controls. luckily it's short enough to not feel like you wasted your time.dmc3 - good but honestly kind of a chore and slightly annoying. but again, it's good. better than dmc4.dmc4 - it is alright but bad level design and strange combat hold it back. dmc5 - it's good but honestly a bit boring at times. dante is personally my favorite characters to play but nero with the devil bringer is pretty fun too. vergil is also fun but he's also fun in 3 and 4.but yeah they're good enough. better than most games. also just pirate them lol. why give crapcom money when we still dont have the ps5 exclusive features on the pc version of dmc5
