I don't know if it's because I got NIN to 100 today but it feels pretty good to play it on ex+ content. When I do the whole fight flawlessly on NIN it feels more like an accomplishment than when I do it with VPR or SAM despite me doing way more damage with those jobs. Recently finished shadowbringers after 390h of play. Before I continue on with the interlude im trying to get 5 classes up to 80. Paladin n dragoon are 80 with red mage, machinist n sage being leveled up. Also enjoying the Eden raid series.

Unsync should be available on everything, but...You get nothing out of it. No loot, no xp, no chests, NOTHING. It won't even count as a clear or completion towards things like WT, not even challenge log.

I think the problem is SE just fundamentally changes a job when it gets reworked instead of at least trying to keep a core aspect but rework it a bit to be more palatable. I lament the loss of DoTs for summoner. Dark Arts for DRK was HONESTLY fine, the problem was they were adding too much shit to use it on and the animation lock was so long that double weaving was a pain for some things. The new skills are just dark arts but they do damage, and instead just give you a passive uptime buff. I think I might have been alone but I did like the whole use dark arts to power up your shit thing. SB's resource gain for bloodspiller also felt good, I do not like delirium being discount inner release. DRK is supposed to mirror paladin, so I think if anything DRK should at this point get a dark version of the confiteor combo, or have some dark magic casts like with Paladin having white magic ones. Last thing it needs is make it so as long as TBN takes like, over half of its value in damage, it pops the buff. Because as you get higher stats, it's much harder to pop TBN in certain content. Frequently I find I use TBN for a tank buster and it ends up popping to the follow-up auto attack

>>739284641Technically, PLD sucked because the new Blade Combo and potency changes to Holy Spirit completely fucked over the job design since it made sks unviable on PLD (who used to run 2.4 gcd speed in ShB and omit Holy Spirit casts to keep a tighter dps loop).The changes in EW made it a massive dps loss to shorten PLD's combo and made it impossible to play around confiteormaxxing. Furthermore, out of a pure dps perspective the changes to all of the tanks made it so that PLD went from second best rdps to SIGNIFICANTLY worse in BOTH rdps and adps even when fighting a dummy.Meanwhile, DSR had these really short active burst window that went counter to the PLD damage profile (especially since you could no longer shorten the magic phase). Funnily enough the world first team cleared with a PLD though.
