You degenerates are probably spending upwards of 6 hours a day sitting on your computer chair. Have you invested in yourself? Or are you still sitting on a goyseat?

Post your computer chairs here, and give a short review of how it performs. Picrel is a Herman Miller Aeron I bought used last month from an office clearance. Best $500cad I spent in years.

This is gaming related because gaming is usually done while sitting in a chair

For me it's the Sam's Club special
Comfy and reclines to the perfect angle when I want it to. Only complaint is the fixed arm rests, but they're in a pretty good position as it is.
I'm slightly concerned about longevity given the price, but I'm a year in and it seems to be holding up fine so far.

>>
>>739281730
Kind of the same opinion here. It's not uncomfortable to sit in for me, but it forces a good posture, which is undesirable when i'm tired and want to lean back. That's when I use the tilt mechanism and just lay back, and the leaning back in this chair is so so comfortable for me as long as I have a tiny pillow or sweater under my neck where the plastic rim is. And yea, I sat in my friends dxracer seat for an hour or 2, and It was horrible. I couldn't believe I actually had a "gaming" seat at one point.

The Aeron has models with different adjustment options also
>>
No idea why none of these gamer chairs ever think to stick a fan in the seat/back.

I use a Herman Miller Embody, with the Atlas headrest. It's nice, but the cushion on the seat isn't good enough for me so I have a seat cushion on there. I noticed recently that the headrest has dug holes into the top of the chair, so that's going to suck for the resale value. I've had it for about six years now though, and it's holding up. I think next time I might get a Steelcase, they look comfier.

I have a Herman Miller Embody logitech gaming with Atlas headrest. I am enjoying it although I've never really dialed in any settings to make it fit my posture the best and i don't know if I'm sitting ergonomically. It practically feels fine at any setting or tension i use. So i just left it alone.
It's by the far best office chair I've ever owned.
I sat in an Aeron in store. Comfy but i prefer something that closer resembled a uniform highback chair with no gaps. Libernovo Omni was alright but i felt like these two were inferior to the Embody at least according to my personal tastes.
I hope it lasts me a long time since i only got it this year but was happy with the investment.

i have a basic hermano schiller, zero back pains or anything since upgrading from a piece of shit. i had to get one of those compression pillow things to avoid numb bum but thats it
then i get into bed with the cheapest possible mattress and fucking destroy myself kek, need to sort that out next.
>>
>>739282146
I've had no issues with the seat pan, doesn't feel too hard to me and actually quite soft. I have no idea what some people are complaining about.
I've sat in plushy chairs and i think the difference is practically unnoticeable because it still feels good anyway. It was to the point of where i searched out the most plushy ergo chair on the market i could find (that was also well built) and found that there was no point in the extra padding at all.

I got a used Aeron for $300 and I'm pretty sure bed bugs jumped off of it and infested my mattress. Threw it out and haven't seen one since. Don't be a retard like me if you buy second hand shit and check for bed bugs.
>>

>>
>>739282774
The mattress I threw out to be specific. Still have the Aeron after I steam cleaned the fuck out of it.
>>
>>739282715
I tried out the original mirra when I went to pickup this chair. Didn't like it at all. Mostly the actual material that the seat part was made of. I like the mesh on the aeron much better
>>
i dont care about money and got the logitech fancy one, its vastly overrated. its way too low so it gets stuck constantly, you got to buy the aftermarket headrest and it still sucks, the arm rests just randomly go out of place for no reason, also its uncomfortable for a long term resting place for your arms
its a nightmare to clean the posture is shit
also when you buy it they send it pre-made so you got to carry a huge heavy as fuck chair up 3 floors to your computer room, the box was too damn big to even get in the front door

I am sitting in a Herman Miller Aeron right now. I have a cover on it because my cat kept stretching his claws on the mesh lol
>>
>>739281040
Went to an office liquidation shop expecting to love the Aeron, but couldn't get comfortable no matter how I tried to sit in it. I'm used to sitting in an upright, engaged position, so it's not like I hated it due to bad posture.

Went and sat in the Steelcase Gesture, and I had a "this is my hole, I belong here" moment. Dropped $300 on it and took it home immediately. Mine is slightly less ergonomic since I have a Subpac strapped to it that I sit against, but I have the straps ratcheted down tight so it sits exactly where I want it to against my back. It will be a dark day when this chair finally fails.
>>
I have this Bradley executive chair I got from Staples. It's pretty good.
>>
>>739282552
I can't speak for the Aeron because i personally don't like mesh and i theorized that it could potentially cause me pain in longer sitting sessions. It's not my preference and i like that this uses a cloth material instead. That is preferred style of chair and hence i never took a gamble on an Aeron. Mesh for me is too much of a gamble.
Whilst i sat in the aeron and know it's still a soft kind of mesh it's also mesh which is hard by default even in the most ideal circumstances.

its a bit of a meme but I do like the secretlabs chair, been using one for quite a long time now.

My old chair finally snapped after some 10-15 years of service so I had to get a replacement quick.
Coworker recommended me picrel. The footrest is wobbly and sucks, the seat feels too high, the in-built lumbar is a bit too big, and I wish I could adjust the headrest and armrests. I'm probably getting ripped off, but I was desperate.
As an upside, it's not pleather, and my previous chair had literally just a pleather cover over a metal frame with two (2) elastic strips and a piece of cardboard for a backrest, so all in all it is an improvement. What was Ikea thinking? "It looks the part, it'll fool our customers"? Well, it worked on my parents.

Still need to find a proper cover to protect the fabric. But for now, it gets a blanket.

>>739282429
Tried to get one of these in the interim, all I could find was resin shit that barely lasted a day before cracking like thin ice. Literally not even 24 hours. Scratched up my ass and drew blood in the process, even. They don't make them like they used to anymore, at least I got my 10€ back. Fuck carrefour.
Had to shell out 50€ on a foldable camping chair off decathlon instead. Plan was to return it, but it turned out to be nice enough I've decided to actually keep it.

>>739284084
If people have to modify their chairs with thicker cushioning could it just be that the chair is not comfortable by design?
I believe the HM Embody is comfortable by default despite lacking plush. Mainly because of the pixel nodes under the chair not causing the hard bottoming out feeling, that in conjunction with a cloth material is what makes up for lack of cushion. Although one anon in the thread feels the opposite about it to me so i guess it might be subjective. My whole goal when finding a chair is that it has to be comfy with no modifications. Whilst i found that to be the case with the chair i won't deny the headrest is good thing for lounging and laying back reclined so your head has something to rest against. Otherwise reclining is awkward.

That padding was years old, I sit on it for 12+ hours a day. I'm also a fat fuck. I left a leap v2 at my parent's house, my mom and sister use it pretty much every day. Zero complaints. Though, I do believe BTOD and Crandall only offer these with thicker foam now, so you could be very right.

just changed my 8 y/o chair.
padding got flattened and the gas piston thing was starting to falter.
i probably could have fixed it myself if i REALLY wanted to, but apparently changing the padding is a hassle and the replacements are not super cheap either.

my only advice is to pick a chair with a mesh backrest at the very least. it's simply superior.

would have picked one with a mesh seat as well, but that's a more premium option, and i'm fine with middle-of-the-road
>>
>>739288251
Mesh lasts about 20 years before it starts tearing, from my experience. Cost me about 150 bucks for a new set of mesh for my aeron, and takes 10 minutes to swap out. I should probably buy another set and store it somewhere because in another 20 years it might be harder to find.

I have this exact chair and it's the second one I've bought in probably 13 years. It's pretty comfy and the flip up arm rests are a must since the space between my desk and my bed is very limited so it needs to be able to be pushed under my desk.
The downside is the cheap fake leather so many chairs have that comes off in little flakes that get absolutely everywhere. My current chair is looking pretty shredded up these days so I've been looking into alternatives but nothing meets all of my criteria. I would like to try a mesh back for airflow but none of the mesh chairs have a large head cushion like the chair I'm using. Also don't really want mesh for the seat since I feel like it would rip easily, or fabric for that matter because sometimes I sit with my feet on the seat and my dry ass heels rip that fabric apart.
I wish there was some hybrid chair with a mesh back but a wide and deep real leather head cushion and a real leather seat. With flip up armrests.
Does anyone know of such a chair?

>Do you find that you actually use the headrest?
Yes. I push the headrest in so far that it's always sort of touching my neck whilst I'm gaming and that is very comfortable for me. So it supports my neck in a lounging kind of way but for an upright posture instead of leaving it far back just for the recline. I have no idea if that's a healthy idea or not but it does feel good. The chair is already pretty much at least pushing you to sit ergonomically so it can't be that bad for my health or anything. I dunno.
I might change that up eventually even if it's not a good idea and just always sit in constant recline if that's something better for my health. I'm not sure which is more ideal. But the fact that it's very open in the way that you can use means it's a very versatile headrest. My one complain is that i have to tighten it up with an allen key every so often or it becomes loose. A little annoying but not a deal breaker.

Based. I mentioned it above in reply to someone else with a recliner, I have a similar setup but I have an adjustable height desk on wheels instead of putting wheels on the chair. I have a long skinny table to my right that my PC and some other doodads are on so the desk just has my keyboard, mouse and monitors. Can move the desk very easily at pretty much any height to accomodate any position from cross-legged to laying horizontally along with getting in and out very easily. It feels like the best possible gayming setup to me.

imagine this
you step into a hot car and you turn the car on.
now instead of waiting for the seat to passively cool with the rest of the car, you get some of that sweet AC air on your back and legs.
even if the cabin still has hot air swirling around for the next several minutes, you basically get immediate cooling right where it feels the best, like sitting down on a pristine cool chair.
ironically if you were fat those seats probably wouldn't work as well because the air flow would get partially blocked by your immense bulk

anyway yeah it seems like a nice idea for a chair because no matter how long you sit on it you'd have an actively cool seat sapping away your body heat.
